“Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ely by IHG is the best alternative, in my opinion, to The Prospector Casino right next door. Breakfast is filling and free coffee is available in the lobby 24/7 for the coffee lovers like me. The not so good was that the fridge in my room did not have a freezer, as a result, I had to eat the 3 frozen meals I brought with me all at once, otherwise they would have gone bad; the ice machine on my floor was not working, and the staff could be a tad friendlier. ……

“Room was super comfy. Hot shower with lots of pressure. The bar was in transition, but still covered by a great bartender. The reception area has very cool items on display. Nice people!”

“This is a great find in Ely. There is a bit of construction on the main drag but once done, it will be so much nicer and the downtown will be revitalized. This property is walking distance from downtown. They gave us a breakfast voucher for a local restaurant (in walking distance) and the food was top notch. The property is vintage, but relatively peaceful and super clean and tidy. I'm pretty sure it's headed for boutique chic in a few years. ”

“Dirty room, no soap to wash hands, only a half used toilet paper, the rug in that room was so old and dirty. Only because we were on the road for most of that day we stood there. Over priced by Expedia.com”
