“Great spot for our overnight stay. Easy walk to restaurants & supermarket”

“Apart from the mens shower having no pressure unless it was on cold, we really enjoyed the stay. My six year old loved George the horse who was very friendly and gentle. The kitchen and outdoor facilities were great. The room was clean, but we found someone else's Vaseline under the bed which was gross; when checking to see if any of our kids toys were left there.”

“Host is so friendly and trust he should spend a lot of time to perfect the motel facilities”

“the shower facility could be better. Customer need to pay for shower, and the time allow you to take shower is really short.(50 cents for about 5 mins.) The receptionist is very kind to customers. She is very professional.”

“Great room. Amazing location. Would definitely go back”

“The on-property host and manager, Valery, made the stay phenomenal; he is also a professional chef and will cook you breakfast and dinner each day using fresh and local ingredients. The property has direct access to a very private beach and offers 2 kayaks and a paddle board for you to use when desired. The views from each room are stunning with the penthouse having the best setup, followed by the jacuzzi room and then cozy room which has a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound setup. You also have……

“Worst place to stay! After a 30 day trip in all of NZ this was the worst. The food was terrible, the customer service unacceptable. I would do a day hike in the park and have the water taxi take you back to Kaiteriteri ”

“Lodge by the Beach was one of the most memorable lodgings we’ve ever stayed in. Designed and built by the architect-owner, Alan with industrial grade materials for safety and various art pieces brought in from overseas, the property is truly amazing. Perched atop a hill near the Split Apple Rock with breathtaking views of the ocean and lush forests, it even offers the private access to a secluded, pristine beach, which made our stay feel like a true escape from the world. The culinary……

“The staff are Fantastic. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. Close to a variety of Dining options.”
