"Our stay at lake and oaks was wonderful. The location of the house was nice, private, and peaceful. Fishing the lake was an added bonus. The house was clean and welcoming and we really didn't want to leave when the time came. We were close to Rend Lake for extra fishing and drove down to Garden of the Gods, Cave in rock, and giant city state park for a day trip. Communication with the host was easy and she answered any questions we had quickly, even checked in on us after some bad weather had passed through. The whole stay was a wonderful experience and we really hope to return someday."

"This Motel 6 is an older property near the Interstate - a drive-up-to-the-room style that I seek out. I have stayed here twice. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the room was updated and clean. The property is very quiet. There's good water pressure and plentiful hot water. The desk clerk gave me extra towels when I asked for them. The parking lot needs to be repaved, and that is my only criticism of the place. "
