“Very nice and clean … loved the beautiful atmosphere… very peaceful and private… we highly recommend… we will be returning for the fall”

“Great location for our family outing. Plenty of room for everyone and a nice deck for relaxing outside. Easy ride to the Kickapoo River as well as surrounding towns for a little bumming.”

“Neglected is the best word to describe this place. It has potential, but general maintenance seems to have been ignored for years. The ceiling fan shook so much it appeared it would fall off the ceiling any minute. The railing felt wobbly and, in general, the place was run-down. It was, however, clean and serviceable. The double tub was wonderful. The towels were something I would send with kids to camp rather than offer a guest. There were a few dishes to use, but you had to kneel on the floor……

“This is a very good spot.”

“Thank you for providing a perfect stay for our large group. You are a wonderfully generous host! Your beautiful property is unique in many ways: spacious floorplan, all bedrooms have private bathrooms, fire pit with ample seating, and easy access to the bike trail. The beds were incredibly comfortable—it was the first rental where I wished I could have taken the bed with me! We wanted to note that the first-floor bedroom does not have a shower. While this may have been an oversight on our part,……

“Very clean and very nice place. Would definitely go back to the same place. The host was excellent. Responded to all of the questions I had immediately.”

“I stayed here for a week in July with my dog, and really enjoyed it! So quiet and peaceful, especially in the evening when the night sky was awesome and you could listen to the owls and the nighthawks! Yet it was very close to La Crosse, West Salem, and Sparta so there was plenty to do without driving too far. Everything was so clean and well-thought out, very homey. The bed was awesome, very comfortable with nice linens; bedroom was huge with a TV and closet. Plenty of fluffy towels, and the……

“Amazing week stay with my wife. First time she was here and very amazed by the location and site.”

“Place is simple and cheap, could use some upkeep on building, door sticks and the water spigot for the sink drips and being held with duct tape. No bathroom just a portapotty to use. And watch out for the mice. It's a beautiful location on the west fork of the kickapoo River with access to the River.”

“The property is very well maintained, house was very cozy and relaxing. The host was great to communicate with.”

“Had a great stay thanks much”

“This was one of the best VRBO experiences I've had. It was a quite, beautiful and peaceful view. Safe, comfortable accommodations, meticulously clean, and a great location for all things Sparta, WI. The decor and layout of the rental was really beautiful; a lot of handmade wood decor. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. They greeted us on arrival and departure. They were helpful & quick to respond anytime we had a need. There are some stairs to reach the apartment……
