We try to ALWAYS stay here it’s our home away from home and David and Alma are always amazing hosts I promise you won’t be disappointed. It’s quiet and cozy and we are already scheduled to be back in December if not sooner

Beautiful

We felt like we had our own private spa. The backyard is inviting and very comfortable. I was glad it didn't have a full kitchen so I didn't have to cook! There is a wonderful built in bbq microwave and toaster oven and a full size fridge. All we needed for a relaxing stay.

Amazing stay

We had such a wonderful time on this beautiful property. Alma and David went out of their way to make sure our stay was nothing but the best! It quiet and cozy close to so much. We hated to leave but we will definitely be back!

We love staying here we try to come back every couple of months. We were just here during the holidays. David & Alma always make us feel like we are part of the family and ALWAYS so accommodating to any of our needs.I promise you won’t regret picking this beautiful cozy spot.

great getaway

This was a great place for a getaway and VERY pet friendly. Our dog loved running around in the back yard. The bed was VERY comfy. If you like a lot of pillows, this is the place for you! The outdoor area was great with fire pit, grill, and pool.

Amazing

This is our second stay at David & Alma’s in the last 5 months. We knew when we decided to return to the area that their property is exactly where we wanted to stay. The property is cozy and comfortable and we always have a wonderful time. They make you feel like royalty when you are there making sure everything is perfect for you. Incredible Getaway

Property is beautiful and better than in the pictures. Nice quiet neighborhood close to shops and downtown Oceanside. This property has everything you can ask for and then some. Our 2 little dogs loved being able to roam the yard and lay by the pool. Owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Will definitely be coming back.

Great overall

Great stay overall, very comfortable room with everything you could ever need. Note that it is connected to another house, even though they give you the back yard the whole time. Didn't bother me, just something to note. Only having a kitchen sink outside was the only drawback, fine in the summer, but might be difficult in the winter.

The property is well situated to restaurants and short drive to beach. The pool and backyard were wonderful. Our dog especially enjoyed the fenced in yard. While the kitchenette is well stocked it is only suited to the simplest meals due to the lack of sink and prep area inside the casita.

Perfect for our weekend getaway!

My son and i went to san diego for a soccer tournament and found this place last minute which was very close to the socal complex. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed! We especially enjoyed swimming in the pool and enjoying the yard. thank you!!

Loved it!

The pictures do it no justice! It’s located on a very quiet street. The backyard with the pool is serenity. It literally had EVERYTHING that you need. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was how lovely it smelled. They have scented candles, and the jet tub was perfect was a very relaxing night. I genuinely loved staying here.

Perfect sanctuary

This was the perfect place for us to relax from all the family obligations and decisions. Our dogs were so relaxed and that was a blessing. Pool was perfect temp. Everything we needed to enjoy our time. Close to everything but felt remote. Comfy bed! Great natural light and desk area for work from home. We will be back as we have family in the area that we need to see frequently. First time we have gone home rested! Thank you!!

Not What We Expected

I was not under the impression that when a listing called itself a Bungalow that meant it’s not a whole home. I did not know until the day of that this is not an entire house. I got a text message with the check in info and it was called an ADU and showed more detail than the listing on the app. The “fully stocked kitchen” is a closet with a fridge, air fryer, and toaster oven and a microwave next to the bathroom. I was pretty bummed when I saw they called it an ADU but I was devastated when I read it shared a wall with the main house. This listing is a room at the back of a house that has been made into a “separate” space. It felt creepy that there was a connecting door that the permanent tenant could use to enter into the sleeping area. And it disturbed my dogs having another dog living on the property. Very minimal privacy with the glass doors and see through curtains. I left a day early.

We wanted to let you know that we sincerely enjoyed the time we spent at your home. We chose your home so our 8 month old golden retriever puppy would have space to play and swim and our son who lives in the dorms could visit with us. We all loved the pool, the many lounge chairs to lay back and look at the night sky and talk while seated around the fire pit. We enjoyed the beautiful views as we took the dog for walks and strolled down to Starbucks for coffee each morning. The studio was exceptionally well-equipped, the decor was stunning and you had everything one could need. It is well laid out, lovingly maintained, and perfect in every way. Most importantly, the house is not only as good as advertised, but even better than you expect when you arrive. We had a lot of fun and we appreciate your efforts in making it such a memorable trip. Absolutely Amazing Private Escape

What a lovely experience celebrating our 17th year anniversary. The location was exceptional and close to everything we needed and desired. The private backyard was spacious with flowering succulents and tailored to promote enjoyment and relaxation for us and our 2 dogs. The pool was a perfect temperature, clean and delightful. The living space had absolutely everything we needed and set up perfectly. The decor was exceptional and the details of the space had a great deal of thought behind it to promote comfort for the guests (AC on, stocked bathroom/coffee area, dishes, pool towels, beach bag, yoga mat, phone usb charging stations, comfortable bed, sensor lights to guide you from parking area, parking space in driveway etc.). Alma and David were very thoughtful leaving us a personalized card and generous gifts for our anniversary and were available 24/7, responsive and provided great directions. Thank you for a wonderful experience and for being so kind and welcoming, you were truly outstanding hosts.

Summer bliss in Oceanside!

We stayed June 3-10th, 2022 and had an absolutely wonderful time. The accommodations are matched what is pictured. Very clean, comfortable and luxurious. We enjoyed the pool and the wonderful fully fenced backyard; perfect for our three lab-mix dogs - they felt right at home. The neighborhood is lovely and perfect for walking our pups. The location is very convenient to everything you might need or want to do. We easily found our way down to San Diego for whale watching off of Shelter Island, to the beaches of La Jolla, Del Mar, Encinitas, Cardiff, Carlsbad and of course Oceanside. Never had much traffic to contend with and there are several alternative routes to avoid any slowdowns. We also had a fun day wine tasting in Temecula which is only an hour away. There are several grocery chains close by and a market called Frazier Farms about 2 miles from the home which is similar to a Whole Foods - wish I'd found it sooner! Don't hesitate to book your stay, you'll love it! David and Ira are very wonderful, kind and responsive. But you likely won't see them.

False Listing and Horrible Experience

This rental was falsely advertised in every way. This was not located in an upscale neighborhood. This was never stated that the rental was attached to a house where there is a person living. It was listed as a luxury beach bungalow. It is no where close to a beach and there was nothing luxury about it. We took multiple pictures showing that the entry door was completely warped and water damaged along with areas in the bathroom with the same damage. There was barely look warm water in the shower. The apartment was obviously a master bedroom addition to the house that had a door to the existing house with a towel blocking the sound from the house tenant. There were spider webs throughout and when we turned on the ceiling fan, clumps of dust fell onto the bed. There was sign in posted with a wifi password that was not correct. The check in instructions called out the correct wifi password located on the bottom of the router located on a non existent desk and was actually located on the floor behind the dining table. Although the backyard was private to our rental, the outdoor lights were only accessible in the main house. So with the exception of our porch light, the backyard was completely dark at night. The outdoor bbq and coutertop areas were not even complete. The side of the existing house was full of crap and building material. The front of the house was the same. We did not receive check in or out instructions along with nothing printed out at the rental. I have photos
