“Location is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10am”
“I came to shiga kogen for skiing. The hotel location is excellent. You can have either 3 mins driving to Yokoteyama ski area or 5 mins driving to central area.
Other than the location, all staff are very polite, patient and helpful. Some of the staff are able to communicate in English and Cantonese fluently.
They have sufficient parking space compared to other hotels in shiga kogen. If you look for some living experience in a traditional Japanese hospitality, this is the one. Make sure your……
“A poor maintained onsen hotel!
No towel and locker available in the onsen, need to bring along everything from the room! The room itself is very old and poor maintained; the dining which is just fair, don’t expect that as same kind of Food and beverage to a graded resort; fortunately a Taiwanese lady serving down there with excellent service to pull the satisfaction up a bit! ”
“We had a wonderful stay at this ryokan. The staff were amazing and treated us very special. We also enjoyed a fantastic multi course dinner and a full breakfast while we were there… both excellent ”
“High Accessibility
The hotel is near the Yodanaka Station, it takes 5-10mins walk. If you will drive over there, the hotel will provide the free parking. Also, they were so nice to clean up the snow every morning.
Also, it may take 15-20mins walk to the Shibu Onsen.
For skiing, it can take 30mins driving to Shiga Kogen. It takes 45mins driving to Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort.
Hotel provided a delicious meal and kids friendly. They provided a different set for the kid.
The Onsen is large……
“Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course.”
