“A particularly nice welcome. A very well appointed en suite facility. A good sized and comfortable bed - very thoughtful and good quality ancillary furniture in the room. Very good breakfast. You can easily see why Rafters was awarded a 5 Star AA rating in 2023 - well done Sigrid!! Would make Rafters my first choice if I needed to stay in this area again. Peter May.”

“Mike and Barbara are fantastic hosts! The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable making you feel as though you are home from home. Breakfast was incredible, fresh, homemade and delicious (thank you Barbara for doing my scrambled eggs just as I like them). All in all, we had a a really lovely stay and would love to come back. ”

“What a stunning house! Enormous room, very comfy bed. Beautiful view over garden and bonus swallow's nest in eaves. Lovely selection of teas in the room. Amazing breakfast. Lovely location in a perfect village, we did one of the walks listed in the kitchen and really enjoyed it. ”

“Usually use Prem Inn but prices are getting ridicules, found Kingfisher Bard, first class, reasonable price and breakfast included not like Prem Inn, £9.50 extra for continental brekkie. Definitely use again.”

“Very nice and cozy bedroom at the top floor of the building. everything was clean and cozy! Surrounding area does not allow you to park. Check out: no instruction on where to leave the keys... Overall, I would very recommend it!”

“Newly renovated and very up to date. Breakfast perfect choices. Bit daunting by self check in but no issues. Only downsides were the walk from The Ridgeway down a busy road (hotel can’t help that!), and that there was no food in the evening (but crockery provided if takeaway ordered ( leaflets provided)).”

“Manager Petar is a generous guy to provide detailed travel information request you need. Location is convenient to access to Downtown, one minute to access Bus station nearby Hotel entrance, Bus No 3. Room: Clean and nice, with backyard garden scenery. WiFi super speed”

“We have stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The environment is quiet and safe. The staff are very nice and helpful. Bus stop to the city centre is very near, just a minute walking distance. Within half an hour including waiting time for bus, we can reach the city centre. I’ll choose the hotel again next time we go to Oxford.”

“This was a very nice place to stay and we would go back and highly recommend Marlborough Arms to those traveling. It was within an easy walk to Blenheim Palace, lovely town, cute bookstore and good choices of restaurants! The B and B was quaint, historic, well preserved with lovely sitting areas including outdoors. Great breakfast buffet and made to order hot breakfast! If you haven't yet had a traditional English breakfast let this be your first, delicious.”
