"Overall a lovely hotel and beautiful staff . Breakfast was a bit limited . Just standard . The bacon ran out and was not cooked well . What was left in the pan was cold . Cooks needed to fill bacon station regularly. Eggs cooked for you were very good but took some time which is okay and came later . The fruit was a disappointment and the way it was presented. It was cut in tiny cubes !! Strawberries would have been nice as they are in season. The toast station was a bit untidy and the bread types weren’t very nice . The Jams even though there were a good selection putting a spoon in The jar is very poor presentation. Jams were mixed up with others on the spoon . Bed comfort not great the bed and pillows were hard and very uncomfortable. The hotel staff were outstanding and we felt we were looked after on our special stay. I think the breakfast needs attention to detail . "

"I’d definitely stay here again. The staff and everything about the hotel was first class. The rooms are clean and comfortable with some nice touches. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming The valet parking was easy and convenient. The hotel is situated well but for the city centre, shopping and restaurants it could be quite a walk for some ( about 1 - 1.5 miles) for us it was no problem "

"Access to central Brisbane. The staff were excellent. Most things i could walk to. Room was clean. Gym was good enough. Construction noise was consistent. "

"We stayed for 2 nights and could have stayed longer. Our only criticism is the lobby cafe the food was not good and the coffee was not drinkable. The staff were friendly and helpful but there were only 2 on and a queue. Star needs to staff this area better particularly in the morning when people want coffee and improve the quality of coffee"

"We booked here so we could access the Childrens Hospital, which turned out a five minute walk away. Just perfect for our needs. One trick is put the card in the holder on the wall to use the TV. Silly us but the reception staff were very helpful. Also if walking to the hospitals just turn right after leaving the hotel and walk down the hill, you end up at the coffee club and it is all just across the road."
