“This is a great place to relax, but there is not a lot to do at the hotel or within walking distance. The plunge pools with villa are fantastic! Due to the tides in the area, you can only swim in the ocean at high tide, and the water has a lot of seaweed. The restaurant is amazing, we really enjoyed all of our meals and the staff were always friendly and helpful.”

“Lovely resort. Staff were very kind and friendly. The bar and restaurant are very well appointed; I think they refurbished it not that long ago. The menu was extensive and the food good quality. Good pools, including a ‘quiet pool’, which is such a great addition. We had a lovely spacious room with sea view. Everything was clean and in good working order, nice bed and linens. “The property (houses on Easter Side) has big issue with the three-phase power input. Finally, we spent our night without electricity (two basic lamps were provided instead for the room and bathroom). The electric generator was not reliable - lights were blinking all the time. I didn`t want to charge my electric equipment when the generator was used (didn`t want risk damaging items). The breakfast was rather basic. The rest of the experience was OK. It was the only only one property we visited……

“Esitteen kuvat pitävät paikkansa, hieno alue. Siisti ja siivotaan päivittäin. Keittiö on myös erittäin hyvä, hieman suppea menu. Rauhallinen alue, saa nukkua rauhassa. Rannalle noin 5 minuutin matka mutta oma allas on riittävä. Alueena muutenkin rauhallinen, vain perjantaisin ranta bileet eli sopii parhaiten rentoutumiseen. Henkilökunta on ystävällistä lukuunottamatta respan Rachelia jonka kanssa ei onneksi tarvitse olla juurikaan tekemisissä, hänen vuokseen yksi tähti pois.”

“El hotel es muy lindo y está bien ubicado, aunque se llama Beach Resort pero no esta en primera fila de playa. Solo hay wifi en la recepción. El desayuno es bastante pobre, nada que ver con la foto que muestran. La pileta cierra a las 6pm lo cual impide usarla luego de la playa”

The facilities are gorgeous and the staff is so sweet and accommodating (and always available) and we LOVED the big and beautiful pool. I think floating around in the water at night with the palm trees swaying above me was the most magical experience I have ever had. “I visited The One during off season and covid mitigation rules, and due to this circunstances, I was surprisingly the only customer in the whole large resort. I got very warm welcome and free upgrade to a seafront apartment. Nothing major to complain other than the TV in the apartment did not work, neither did the wifi for some occasions. The resort location is remote from watamu bay and basic services but the hotel have good restaurant and other facilities. I managed to get a cheap uber from……

Het enige nadeel is dat de kamers vrij gehorig zijn: wij werden om 6 uur wakker van de wekker van de buren. Dus oordoppen mee! ”
