"We had a superior King room which I'm glad we did as it wasn't particularly big bur was quite quirky, bed was comfortable and huge, breakfast was superb and Hotel was very central my only gripe was the lifts of which there are 4, one is used expressly for staff, one was broken during the whole of our stay (5 days) and one of the remaing 2 broke which left one lift for a hotel with 13 floors"

"I loved our stay at Hotel Rival. We traveled Scandinavia for over 2 weeks and this was my favorite hotel out of all the ones we stayed at. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. We returned to our room after our day sightseeing with turn down service and sparkling water on the bed stand. The breakfast was delicious and had made to order choices as well as a full buffet. It also had AC which is not always available at Scandinavian hotels. We rented bikes from the hotel and biked all around Stockholm. Thank you Hotel Rival for a wonderful 4 night stay! "

"Great hotel. Very clean. Central to shops and station. The only negative was that we weren’t told we had to make a reservation for breakfast. The restaurant was full but the wonderful waitress kindly accommodated us - we sat at the bar instead. Not ideal but fine. The breakfast selection was excellent."

"we stayed for 6 nights. great location. very clean. nice staff. great breakfast! only down side is we went in mid july and the rooms would get really hot during the day and there’s no AC. we made due and kept the blinds closed during the day and opened the windows at night. other than that it was a great stay! "We stayed at the Marriott for one week on the occasion of the wedding of our son. Service was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Our room was clean comfortable and spacious containing everything that we need. Breakfast was excellent with an array of food catering for everyone’s taste. The only disappointment was that you had to pay extra if you wanted a fried egg. We had dinner in the restaurant on two occasions which was very good and reasonably priced for Stockholm. The staff were very good and attentive. We would definitely stay here again."

"First visit to Stockholm So glad i chose the historic Freys hotel Ideally located for fast link to airport on Arlanda express train Excellent location for exploring Gamla Stan, historical attractions public transport, walks by the water. Shopping malls, restaurants and lots of little city gardens, for cooler shaded breaks. The hotel staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. My room and facilities were clean, comfortable, quiet and safe. My breakfast was included and it was amazing with great choice, and although no real veiws in it's side street location, it was still pleasant to be able to choose to have an outside table. I purchased the little teddy bear (it's a nice touch that they place one in every room) as the money goes to charity 😊 I highly recommend Freys and hope to return in the future-- 5* in my opinion "
