“We loved our stay. It was very beautiful and peaceful. The staff brought us a delicious breakfast each morning for a small charge. The only negative is not knowing in advance about the very steep and long cement path from the road to the cabin on the lake. Anyone with physical disabilities could find it impossible to manage.”

“Hôtel bien entretenu mais un peu désuet par endroit. Lit très dur. ( si vous avez des problèmes de dos, vous aurez peut-être des inconforts) Eau chaude et bonne pression. Bel emplacement au bord du lac. Bon service et le resto est bon mais un peu cher si je compare avec les restaurants de la ville. De manière générale nous avons eu un beau séjour. ”

“We didn’t have electricity or wifi or hot water for the first half of the trip. It came back after that but was definitely an inconvenience. Restaurant was very good - we ate there many meals because it was convenient and good. The sauna was also a cool experience. A little farther from the lake than some other area places. ”

“Our stay at Eden was the most enjoyable we’ve had in all of Guatemala. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I loved stepping outside of my little cabin and smelling fresh herbs like basil, lavender, and oregano. Our cabin was adorable and the staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable, safe, and like we were apart of the community. Judd and Maria were so friendly and gave us great recommendations of restaurants and things to do. There was even a restaurant at the hotel with yummy……

“We found out last minute that Expedia had overbooked the property so we were left without accommodations for multiple hours on each day. Luxury Atitlan did its ultimate best to accommodate our stay. We would love to hear back from Expedia as we were forced to move on four separate occasions. One particular night was completely off-site and was not comparable to what the nightly cost was. ”

“We arrived just after 10pm, when the garage closed only moments before. The staff was still present and re-opened it for us. We used the covered gated parking area. The hotel is centrally located for Mazatenango proper. How water, fresh towels, soaps, and a complementary bottle of water were waiting for us. The area is safe and secure. There is a nice wall unit a/c which cranked out some super cold air. Next time I am in the area, I plan to stay at this hotel!”

“This property is beyond amazing. Located in quiet hill of San Marcus La Laguna, easy access to center of town. Great San Pedro Volanco view and Lake Atitlan view. This property is exceptional, looks much more nice in person than pictures. Staff on the ground are super helpful. They helped us to get fruits and food from the town, arranged transport and even arranged massage in the property. Only downside of this property is it’s on the top of the hill which means you will have to hike down to……

“It is set out as a Luxury apartment but can't really qualify as such. It is nice, but quite noisy as it is right next to a restaurant with live music. Also quite smelly from all the restaurants' grey water just flowing into the lake outside the windows. The bathroom is also very damp with mold on the walls. Everything else was good though, and the hosts were very responsive.”
