This was the perfect place to stay and visit Smith College and our daughter. It was well appointed, cozy, and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, the staff was hospitable and friendly and the common spaces were uplifted and quiet.
Everything was top notch. from the room to the grounds to the breakfast, all amazing. the staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Convenient when visiting Smith...just a short walk to everything. Will be back!
Clean, comfortable and overall good vibes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The decor was modern and simple and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful, The breakfast was a few steps up from your typical continental breakfast with hot oatmeal and lots of topping choices.
Great location, walkable to downtown Northampton with its shops and restaurants, Forbes library, and Smith College. Close bike ride to the Northampton bike path. Nice breakfast with fresh entrees in a cozy room with a fireplace. Comfortable bed, quiet room.
I LOVE staying at the Ellery. The staff is always so kind and helpful, my room is always clean, and I love getting breakfast in the morning and eating in the homey “living room” space downstairs.
What a charming hotel. There were many little touches that showed that someone really cares. We came in later at night and didn’t want to go out in the rain for any dinner. We were wonderfully surprised that there was yogurt, cereal and milk down in the breakfast room. There were bags of chips and that was our dinner. The breakfast was very simple and well thought out.
Lovely inn with a delicious breakfast included, with real china dishes. Very close to the college & botanical gardens (walking distance). Safe. Cozy. Elegant. Quiet. Clean. Quaint. Tons of books and games to stay in. Everything you want in a cute inn. They do not have a 24 hour desk but have clear instructions to get the key from the lockbox after hours.
I liked the outdoor space for my dog - it was clean and had a waste disposal system. I think the breakfasts could have been better and I wished they communicated more thoroughly about how to handle a dog on the property - actual dos and don’ts that were more specific.
Clean room. Excellent breakfast and comfortable bed. Feels a little more like an upscale motel, rather than a historical building as presented in the online photos. Many rooms are situated in parking lot on main level; however; it is very comfortable and convenient.
We stayed 5 days in the ground floor coach house room which was a lovely, large room with a sitting and dinning area as well as a private patio area. The room was lovely, AC worked great on an extremely hot week and the breakfast, all days snacks and common area were great as well.
The staff was helpful with tips about things to do in the area. We had a great visit.
Lovely property and has always been beautiful, grew up here.
The rooms were spotless, the staff very kind and helpful. I was very impressed.
Thank you for a nice stay.
