“This hotel in Makarska is fabulous! The food offered here in the hotel is excellent. Best pizza I’ve had during my stay. The beds are comfortable, location is great however my only disappointment would be the beach. Even though the hotel is on exactly on the beach, it does offer access to it and it was very overcrowded. Not a lot of space to hang out. The beach was beautiful but I wasn’t able to enjoy it much since it was overcrowded with other guests/tourists. It is too bad since everything was……

“Difficult check in and out. Wanted pool towels and had to go back to check in and put deposit which is understandable but once again had to go to main desk and wait. They could have told us when we checked in. Also, had to call for them to lower temperature in room. They did but it was still hot.”

“The Grand Hotel is a gem of a find in an adorable town. It is THE place to stay in Boska Voda. Right on the promenade and directly across from the beach. Tons of dining and entertainment options right out the door. The oceanfront view was amazing. The dining was really nice and the entire hotel was chic, updated and well done while retaining the old world charm that is hard to find anymore.”

“I would choose again to stay at this hotel. Easy access to beach. Walkable to stores, bakery and dining places. Hotel is in the center at very busy place but is very on the safe and quiet place too. Excellent and helpful hotel staff. ”

“The breakfast and food at this hotel are exceptionally good. The location is also wonderful: the marina is walkable but far enough to feel separate and the beautiful beach could not be closer. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit let down by the bar and staff. It’s never staffed so difficult to get a drink and at dinner the only option to eat is inside a room with curtains to close off the beautiful view. We took our plates to sit outside (with permission) and this made it next to impossible to then……
