“Logistically superb - lots of walks, beach, at low tide you can go rock pooling etc. Bus stop right outside - which when the weather isn't great is a useful option to get around. There are small bus routes that loop certain areas - and you get a running commentary so worth jumping on. Hotel is fabulous - views are amazing, food is delicious, and good value, room were exceptional (you must like the sound of the sea) and the staff are kind, informative and go above and beyond. ”

“It's a beautiful old house and nicely located within walking distance of restaurants and pubs. Plenty of parking in the back. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. My only complaint was with the shower controls! After fiddling with them for quite some time, I finally managed to get water at a reasonable temperature to flow from the shower head rather than in the tub, but even now I don't think I could repeat the process.”

“a farmhouse, you can feel the humidity of the stone wall room, a bit too dark inside the room, but general acceptable beautiful environment, you can enjoy a very good countryside view (inc the corfe castle ruins), if you dont want to drive to the town to have lunch or dinner, you can enjoy the local meal at the farmhouse restaurant”

“Hotel is in great location, 2’ walk from the cove and close to all walking trails. Parking is easy (£5 per day). View from the balcony was great. Room was big and clean, although quite noisy (old building). Decoration is very charming, ‘beachcomber style’. Very friendly staff. Shower had only warm to hot water. We did not get roomkeeping during our 2 night stay, which is a bit weird in a 4* hotel. We didn’t bother too much and just asked refillments at the bar. Dinner in the restaurant was ok……

“Clean and comfy. We stayed in a family room. Some discrepancies between what we booked on Expedia and what was sent through to the hotel, but was sorted by email and phone call in advance. Warm welcome and THE most amazing dairy free, gluten free complimentary brownies I've ever tasted. The room was lovely and just what we needed for a one night stop to break up a longer journey. Only slight issue was the noise from something the other side of the bedroom wall (some sort of low level……

“Beautiful sea view room. The only downside to this hotel was that it has low water pressure in the shower and no drinking water in the room and had to go to the bar if you wanted any.”

“A great location and the house evokes a glamorous time with boating memorabilia in abundance, you feel the spitits ofa bygone era wantingvto speak. Lots of fine eating places nearby.”

“My second time staying here. Checked in easy enough with the accommodation across the road at the lodge. The room had nice décor although the bathroom looked a little tired. I used the onsite gym facilities which did not have a lot of people in and allowed me to use the work stations and benches when I wanted to. The shower was good, the bed very comfy and breakfast across at the clubhouse restaurant was very good. A lovely place to stay.”
