“I chose a budget room which was £144 per night. I stayed two nights over the Bank Holiday heatwave . There was a brick wall outside my window and only two of the windows would open a maximum of 3 inches. The bathroom window did not open and the fan was not working. It was wretched in the heat. You have to have the light on to see even in daylight. I was given a very basic fan . I asked to change my room the next day. It was inhumane to expect anyone to be in a room with no ventilation in that……

“We did enjoy our stay at Harbour Heights, although parts of the hotel feel a little tired and in need of some updating. Unfortunately, some members of staff could also benefit from further customer service training, as at times we felt more like an inconvenience than valued guests. The terrace and the view are absolutely stunning and were definitely the highlight of our stay. However, it was disappointing that guests were not allowed to have meals on the terrace, and there was no waiter service……

“Location was fantastic, room was clean but could do with modernising as it was a bit dated. Staff were very good. Value for money probably not but once it's been shown a bit of love and attention it would be well worth it.”

“Central location. Room was lovely. Modern fixtures and fittings. Comfortable bed. TV reception wasn't great but probably not the hosts fault. ”

“From peeling wallpaper to worn out fabrics and cheap pillows … the bathroom was new though … breakfast times were 9:00 to 9:30 😵‍💫 race on for that one … But staff helpful and great location…. But the whole place needs an uplift ”

“Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows. Breakfast is over-priced (plenty of coffee shops/delicatessens in Poole), but if you need to eat one,……

“check in was straight forward though you will need to pay £15.00 to park which is not the end of the world parking is secure bedroom was big only a short walk to the pier and beach also there is live entertainment friday and saturday currently which we enjoyed benefits of being a resident overall a great expereince would recommend”

“Good location, 10 mins to the pier (20 back though !) We stayed in the Lodge and the room was fine. Good breakfast, plenty of choice. My only grumble was the bathroom. As an older person I had a problem getting in/out of the bath in order to shower. No additional rails.”

“My kids love the pool so we’ll definitely be back. The restaurant and bar staff were fab! Reception a little hit and miss…”
