Tiny Spa Cottage Retreat

Our newly remodeled industrial/ farmhouse style tiny cottage offers a stress free tranquil retreat in the heart of Alden , NY, the original location of the Historic Black Water Baths. Our tiny 256 square ft. cottage is perfect getaway for 2. It's still comfortable for 4 if traveling with small children. The additional space in the lofted area has a full size futon mattress.
Your hosts own a spa and wellness center across the street that allows you to enhance your stay with a variety of unique spa retreat experiences to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, a girls get away, or just a quiet night alone for self care away from your busy life. Indulge yourself in spa services such as Massage, Facials, Body Scrubs & Infared Sauna, all provided by Escential Care Spa & Wellness located directly across the street in a beautiful historical Victorian home setting.
Your hosts are on site to assist you during your stay with any additional amenities or needs you may have. Additional amenities include use of Washer/dryer, and spacious accessible parking.
Our unique town is host to many home-town amenities such as a Park, Walking Trails, Local shops, & Restaurants all in walking distance. Alden NY is located 28 miles East of Buffalo NY (BUF) & 58 miles South of Rochester NY (ROC). Less than an hour away from the majestic Niagara Falls NY & Canada. Also within an hour you'll find Letchworth State Park, Six Flags Darien Lake Amusement Park, Kissing Bridge & Holiday Valley Ski Resorts, Canalside, Buffalo Botanical Gardens, Albright-Knox as well as our Sports teams and many Music Venues.

Small town gem

The town of Alden is delightful with friendly people and families and just enough to do.The cottage is small but perfect for 1-2 adults. Decor is up to date beautiful. Amenities perfect. Host available and friendly. Hope to be able to stay again.

Wonderful place!

We had a very comfortable stay at the Tiny Cottage! It had all the amenities we needed, and our son LOVED the loft! Our only issue was arriving after dark and there was no address listed on the house so it took us some time to locate the correct location. However, the hosts were waiting up for us and came over to help us get in and situated. We are already looking forward to another stay here in the future!

We had a great stay in Alden. The property was just as described and pictured. Check in process was seamless. Walking distance to a great little diner! We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Adorable and Comfortable

We were spending the day at Darien Lake and even though we live close, we wanted a place to go in the afternoon to take a break. The tiny cottage is wonderful! Walked to the coffee shop for coffee cake and cinnamon rolls to add to our breakfast.

Perfect little cottage

Loved the cottage and the host was phenomenal! Theresa made sure the grill had propane so our group could cook up some burgers before heading out to a concert and was so nice. The cottage itself had everything you need and was perfect for our group of 4. We will definitely stay again when we come back for another concert.

Beautiful and perfect for Darien Lake Concert

We stayed with our teenage son. It was just as the pictures show. Very modern and clean inside. All the amenities were included. Host was very responsive and flexible. The house is only 10 minutes from Six Flags Darien Lake so was very convenient for our concert that night. Would defiantly stay again!

Perfect Stay!

This house was very appealing in the description. Once I checked in and walked through the front door, I was thrilled to find the in person experience was so much better! The house smelled lovely. Everything was clean and tidy. After a long drive, this stay was exactly what I needed to recharge and relax. Theresa is a great host. I hope to return for a longer stay!

So cute, so relaxing!

We had a whirlwind stay of going to two weddings in one weekend. And we only stayed one night but this house is truly the reason we didn’t feel entirely dead after the weekend. The vibes and comfort of this house is unreal. We slept for 12 hours straight in that bed, it was so comfy. Theresa is kind and so accommodating. We truly plan on coming back to stay for a longer period and go to the spa. Alden is also a very cute town.

Spa get-a-way

We stayed for two nights and had massages. We enjoyed the quaint town of Alden. Breakfast at the Alden Bakery (so delicious) and picked up some chocolates at Henry’s - all within walking distance of the cottage. We went to Rick’s for dinner in East Aurora. The staff and atmosphere was so pleasant. The food was delicious. We highly recommend the 90 minute couples massage at Escential Care Spa and Wellness. These people are so friendly and they love what they do. They truly just want you to have a wonderful experience. The cottage had everything we could possibly need. Wonderful experience

Cute and clean

We needed a place to stay overnight close to Darien Lake Six Flags, and found this which was perfect because it was roughly a 12 minute drive from the park. The place was cute, and clean, in a very quiet neighborhood ( huge bonus there!) It is close to railroad tracks so we did hear trains passing, but that did not bother us at all. Kitchen was well stocked with things if you wanted to prepare meals. The only thing that we didn’t care for was the essential oil burner that had eucalyptus. ( that’s what it smelled like) Being such a small place, the smell was very strong and we did turn that off because it gave me a headache. I’m just sensitive to strong smells, so that’s not really a negative thing… most people would probably love it. I just couldn’t have it running overnight. We stayed there with 2 adults and 2 children ages 7 & 9. There was one full size bed on the ground floor, and one single size air mattress in the loft that the kids shared. They didn’t mind but another mattress in the loft would have been more comfortable. You have to park across the street at a business that is also owned by the hosts, but because it’s a quiet neighborhood and seemed very safe, this wasn’t a big deal. All in all we enjoyed our overnight stay and would recommend it.

The wife and I needed a place to stay while in town for a concert at Darien Lake, and this quaint little cottage was perfect for our needs. Very clean and well kept. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.
