“Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the oven worked well. Lots of opportunities to go on walks directly from the property too. We like to stay in beautiful places and this ticked that box! “The ground floor apartment could have been cleaner and better equipped! The parking was tight, the upstairs neighbours were a bit noisy. The bed was comfy but would have been better if it was bigger as the rooms are quite spacious! Pet friendly.”

“The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. Large beds and great showers. Very quiet at night so we slept well. Large private garden. Warcop is a lovely village with good walks along the river & streams. The Chamley Arms around the corner was very welcoming but we just missed out on being able to eat there as they are starting serving meals in July. However we……

“Ideally located for Hadrian's Wall walkers and next to Milecastle Inn, we enjoyed one night's stay here. Very comfortable and we would probably choose to stay here for several nights if walking the national trail again. ”

“We loved our stay at the Milecastle Inn. Our little apartment was a perfect size for us, clean and well equipped. They even stocked it with snacks and breakfast items. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was cozy with good food. The most amazing part was that you can easily walk to Hadrian’s Wall from the Inn. It is also right next to the bus stop from Haltwhistle and the train station. Overall it made for a perfect vacation!”
