The quintessential British country Inn and pub. We enjoyed our one night stay, and had a delicious meal and socialized with the locals. We enjoyed cocktails in the beautiful outdoor beer garden prior to our dinner. The room we stayed was impeccably clean, and had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Great, helpful staff. Close to bus station, restaurants, stores, boutiques, and four-FOUR charity shops! :)
(Parking is confusing, however. Park in the nearby city lot in a space with WHITE borders-otherwise you may have to pay.)

The double room was large, with a luxurious bathroom and an adjoining workspace. Breakfast was not only ample but flexible; you could mix any combination of items you wanted. Daniella was helpful in making sure we had everything we wanted.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at The Langley Castle! The staff is fabulous, we definitely recommend taking the tour.
Dinner was a work of art, the duck confit was unbelievably delicious. Breakfast was very tasty.
The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The Derwentwater Suite was a gem.
Highly recommend this property and we will want to visit again!

This was a beautiful facility and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is great if you are into country living, since it is a working farm about a five minute drive from the nearest town. Just be sure to ask for the correct postal code before going because the one given by Hotels.com is incorrect.

It is the most eco-conscious hotel we've ever stayed in, with it's own garden, solar panels. and I believe a rain catcher? There's so much wildlife in the area, bird feeders and cats roaming around. We got lucky and there was a bit of clear sky our second night, so we headed to the observatory and got to spots some stars since it's in a Dark Sky Park. It was also a great distance to all the sights in the area,...
