“Vertskapet var de nydligste menneskene vi har møtt. De hentet min sønn og meg på flyplassen(€50). De snakket ikke engelsk men vi brukte en app som oversatte det fungerte perfekt. De hjalp oss å booke bor på restauranter, og tok oss til og med rundt på en kveldstur hvor Angelo fortalte min sønn om byens historie samtidig som de viste oss hvordan vi kom oss til togstasjon, hvor den beste gelato var osv. “Foul weather caused our British Airlines flight to divert to the little town of Bari. We were a plane full of holiday travelers just off-loaded at 8 pm and told by BA - here is your luggage, we will leave in 12 hours, good luck finding accommodations for yourself.
Using Expedia I was able to get a room at this hotel pretty quickly. Others in flight not so lucky, hotels were booking up fast as our flight was not the only unexpected aircraft to divert to Bari.
