"We had a wonderful vacation. The house is amazing, offering everything you’d need for a relaxing yet enjoyable time on the beach. We had 8 people in our family group (3 kiddos) and there was more than enough room for everyone. We cooked and enjoyed meals in the kitchen. The hosts were responsive, making check in so easy. "

"Check in couldn't have been easier. The kitchen was well equipped with basic spices, pots and pans, coffee, tea and appliances. Smooth Wi-Fi access. The house was clean, the bedding and towels were clean and my husband with a bad back found the mattresses comfortable.I will say that we ended up buying gallon jugs of water to drink because we found the tap water to be too metallic tasting. But that wasn't a big issue.The beach nearby was lovely for a nice dunk in the Bay. Very family friendly and shallow waters. Small shops and restaurants are nearby and Glouster is a half hour drive if you need a bigger city feel."

"The cottage was clean, the discription was acurate,the attension to detail was outstanding.The rooms look like they were just renovated.The view from the deck was fantastic.The glasses, flatware and cookware looked new.Well worth the cost. "This cottage is exactly how it is described. It was very clean! The host was so nice and so accommodating. She assured us that we could walk all over the property and I certainly did. There were deck chairs on the dock and it was just so peaceful. We definitely want to come back."
"We had a great week on the river thanks to our fantastic host, Clint. Cottage is a wonderfully thoughtful renovation, set up for lots of fun activities inside and out. Plenty of beds and all the amenities with a superb dock and nice water access. We grilled, baked, caught lots of rays and even a few fish and crabs off the dock. Fun family activities close by, too. Highly recommend!"

"We loved this secluded quiet property, especially the screened in porch. The house was clean and comfortable. We caught and ate fresh blue crab off the dock ,enjoyed day trips to Williamsburg and Norfolk, and spent time at the local Haven Beach."

"Property has lots of character and charm. We enjoyed the infinity pool, kayaking, crabbing from the dock and daily walks. The property is in a fairly remote location but we found that to be a plus. It was a great place to decompress and enjoy nature. The property owner was very responsive at booking and check-in. The only downsides to the property for us were that you had to walk through one bedroom to get the other bedroom and the WIFI was slow. Outside of that we really enjoyed our stay. "

"We had an amazing time on the river! We had planned on going out to explore but it was so relaxing and inviting in the home we didn't want to leave. We ending up getting groceries nearby and eating in.The views and river were excellent. I did quite a bit of fishing and if crabbing is your thing they are abundant off of the pier. There is also a BP by Dollar Geraral that has bait. We also took an 8 foot inflatable circular water hammock to float in the river on. Lisa the host was an absolute pleasure to work with and we will no doubt be back to enjoy her family home. "

"It was a nice get away for our wedding anniversary. We were able to bring our dogs and use the private strip of beach a couple of cottages away. This was a great quiet trip. The only thing that could have been better is the AC in the cottage. A window unit is provided but with 90 temps it couldn’t keep up."

"We absolutely loved our stay at this super cute basement suite! The space was much more spacious than we expected, with a comfy layout that made it easy to relax. What really made it special was the decor – full of antique knick-knacks and thoughtful touches that gave it so much character and charm.There’s no cell service, which was honestly a huge plus for us. It was the perfect excuse to truly unplug and unwind without distractions. They also stocked the place with plenty of snacks, which held us over nicely between meals – such a thoughtful gesture! And if you do need anything, Main Street is just a quick drive away.We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, cozy retreat with lots of personality!"
