"Wanted a different birthday getaway for my husband. This place checked all the boxes. A log cabin house on a knoll in the middle of the California farm belt. Cows mooing in the morning and brilliant sunset in the evening. 360 degree views of farms, mountains and lakes. Close to fishing (we did-Modesto Reservoir), Yosemite (we did) and gold country (we did). "This Motel 6 is a step up from what you usually get at a Motel 6. The rooms were nicely appointed and basic. My only issue was with the lighting in the rooms. The lights were fitted with very bright cold white bulbs which were too bright. This is a problem at other locations and is admittedly a pet peeve. "
