“Mike is a great, easy-going guy. He gave us early access to the building & room. Convenient digital touchpad entry. He retained all the original woodwork, doors & windows that give the building a wonderful historic vibe. There is no better place to be centrally located for all of the downtown restaurants, shops, & historical sites. ”

“We really enjoy the old house experience. The house has been updated yet the original beauty well preserved. We enjoyed the hominess of having the house cat staying outside our room!”

“The owner communicated early and often to make sure we were good upon arrival. The house is beautiful and well appointed. The rooms are upstairs but the butler Kimo will bring up your luggage. The room was spacious and bathroom had everything needed - even 2 robes!! Breakfast was amazing - home cooked and very filling. I'm a vegetarian and he accommodated me easily. Would stay there again. ”

“My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and nice. By sheer luck we were able to get a bathroom to ourselves which was a bonus. Chris was a welcoming and responsive host. Breakfasts were on time and delicious. The house overall had a very pleasant vibe. And we were obsessed with the cats who were very well mannered themselves and didn’t smell at all. We like to take a break from using a car if possible on vacations so downtown and most attractions being within a few blocks……

“I didn't get to stay at the property. The owner never gave me access. Never communicated at all via VRBO, email, text, or phone. I called the owner and owner was not receiving voicemail. I called VRBO. I have a case number to try to get a refund. I had to stay at a hotel. I never received the access code or communication. Very disappointed. Waiting a refund. Hoping I am not ripped off.”

“Very clean quaint property. Our room was situated overlooking a busy 4-way stop which made it a bit loud for sleeping when the trucks with loud mufflers rolled through but rested well just the same. Recommend this property for those looking for a quaint historic stay within walking distance to the Mighty Mississippi! ”
