“We love staying here when we come to Mt. Ida to dig crystals! Super cute little cabin, very clean and comfy. Close to town, but far enough out so it feels like the country. It has a glorious wrap around deck with a nice Blackstone grill that overlooks the woods and a nice firepit. There is a cabin next door, but it's not close enough to be bothersome. We will definitely be back!”

“This is a sweet little property that was perfect for our quick change of Spring Break plans. It was perfect for 3 kids, ages 10-15 and mom and dad! The location was great for hiking, fishing, crystal searching, diamond mining and a rainy day trip to Hot Springs. A couple of updates would make this stay nicer. The kitchen tools and utensils were minimal and made cooking for a family challenging. The pots and pans were broken or flaking Teflon, with the exception of 2 pans which we used all……

“Our stay at Gap Mercantile was amazing. The unique experience of staying in what was once part of a general store was like going back in time, but of course it had all the modern amenities. The owners were absolutely wonderful. They were helpful throughout the stay, and we ended up spending a couple of hours talking to them and hanging out in the store because they were just great people. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area!”

“Great set-up for large group. The separate kitchen/dining area provides a central location for the whole group and was well equipped to prepare meals for 20 people.”

“Everything was great except for storage. There was no place to hang clothes or lay anything. Need some hooks on the walls and clothes rods somewhere to hang jackets and clothes. A table or set of empty shelves to replace the ones with decorations would have been handy. The raised area under the dining table was a hazard and needs to be removed.”

“Marc was a gracious host and has a beautiful property. It was very easily accessible off the main highway. The cabin was perfect for two, plus cute, secluded, peaceful, and relaxing. Marc went out of his way to accommodate us, and we had a beautiful view of the river from the nice covered patio. We were only minutes away from restaurants in town and plan to stay here again! We highly recommend!”

“My son and I stayed for one night to head to a dirt bike race the next morning. The rental is located in a park of sorts. I was a bit confused finding our spot, but it worked out quickly. I drive a full size truck, and parking was a bit tight. I did appreciate having the paved area though, as I used it to do some work on the bike. The house itself was perfect for our needs. Just somewhere to rest our heads. It was much like a hotel and very clean! The owner had a list of restaurants in the area,……
