I booked this stay through VRBO with Seaside Vacations in Hilton Head, SC.2 weeks prior to our arrival, after all our plans had been made, Buddy from Seaside emailed me letting me know the unit we had rented was unavailable. He offered us a choice of 3 other units in near proximity to the unit we had selected. Once I chose an alternate, he did not respond confirming the change for over a week. I finally called the office and was told the alternate unit I selected wasnt available. Buddy offered me an entirely different unit, further from our previously selected site. Once again, he did not confirm or update the new reservation for 2 more days and 2 more phone calls.It was very anxiety provoking! I was worried up until the moment we arrived that the unit would be available.While we were in the unit, a furniture delivery driver came to the door with new bed delivery. I wasn’t informed about this, and no one answered the phone at Seaside offices.The unit we rented was fine- nothing special and the pictures definitely looked better than it did in person.Overall, the service at Seaside was TERRIBLE. I strongly recommend a different rental company when looking for your next vacation stay.
