Great community with wooded area and lots of nature. Be prepared to pay to enter the community since the dork at the gate required it even though notes state that the pass is inside the cottage.

Another great vacay in Sea Pines

This was our third visit to a Night Heron property in Sea Pines. As always, it provided a very family friendly location that's close to everything you'd need for a relaxing, beach trip. The property is well kept and check-in/communication with property manager was smooth. Sea Pines is beautiful, and to my mind, the best location in HH. Definitely recommend.

Highly Recommend!

Great property and perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. This place had everything we needed, pool was close and the beach path was right across the street which was a nice surprise. The bungalow was tucked away from the street within the woods which was so cool! If interested in Coligny, would recommend renting bikes, but it was only a 10-15 ride and you could take the path which made it a nice ride. The listing did not include pictures of the bathroom, but it was somewhat updated and had plenty of space to get ready. Overall, the property was very clean, great location, and very fun. Would stay again for our next trip. Thank you!

Heritage week

This place met all our needs. Clean, well equipped, with just enough space for the two of us. Close to Harbor Town and Coligny. Near the South Forrest Beach entrance. We would book again.

Great stay - cottage is upgraded from last year!

This cottage has been improved since my first stay last year. It has been refreshed (paint, flooring, deck cleaned, new deck furniture, etc.). The property managers have done a super job with this property.

Disappointing

We are finding that the yurt properties on night heron are going down hill on their upkeep. We have stayed in several 1 bedroom yurts and property 13 was in a sorry state. The flooring in the kitchen area is coming up, the couch is filthy and very uncomfortable. The rugs need to be replaced, If it were my property i would be embarrassed to rent it out. We love hilton head but we will be looking elsewhere for rentals.

Best of both worlds

I read a review that said they felt like they were in the jungle, not the beach. That is the whole point of Night Heron! The trees, the lagoons, the wildlife, it feels like you are part of nature, in a home, and not in a tourist destination or resort (even though it's both). You can get places like that but not that are also a five minute walk to the beach and so reasonable in price. Mind you, this bungalow is old and not in pristine condition, it has a few cosmetic issues and the floor in the bathroom shows where there was water at some point, and so forth, but it's clean and safe, just cosmetic. I told the property manager a light didn't work and the handyman was there the next day. A ceiling fan is stuck on low but I imagine that is a bigger fix and at least it was spinning! There was a fan beneath the bed that served me just fine. Just what I was looking for!

SLUMMING IN PARADISE

The property is about 1/2 mile walk to the beach. We were greeted with roaches and ants, owner had the place treated but, it was bad. The place could have been adorable but, it was just plain run down. There was no comfortable place to sit. Things are broken and not fixed. We were very disappointed and strongly recommend you book elsewhere. We gave it 2 stars for location.

Bare bones. Minimalist

Carpet is old and stained, bathroom floor slopes by shower, broken glass all over the parking space , one bulb in vanity didnt work. A tray table for a night stand??? !!!

Overall nice cottage

The cottage met expectations of advertisement. Very close and convenient walk to the beach. Had problem with internet service. This was resolved by the property manager almost immediately. They were very responsive. Overall, great stay.

13 Nights Heron LN

The property is in a very nice area close to beach but not on the beach. The bungalow was very cute and cozy. I hope the owners change the bed mattress is was very uncomfortable, lumpy, and the bed sheets kept coming off and there was no mattress cover very unsanitary. The couch needs cleaning it smelled and felt dirty. The bungalow had roaches. It was not infested but enough that we shook out our belongings before taking them in house. They should exterminate

Quiet oasis in Sea Pines….

We just returned from a fabulous week in Sea Pines! My husband and I have been vacationing there for over 30 years and we must say that this cozy, little home was just great for its location and privacy. The home is small but it grew on us and our 4 legged baby within a few days. The only negative we had is the sofa is in need of an upgrade and maybe a nice leisure chair but beyond that everything inside was great….our favorite spot though,…the deck…recently rebuilt and quite cozy and quiet. We also loved being able to cross the main road and have a super beach access path..door to sand…5 minutes! Sweet! We would definitely recommend for a couple and we will be looking forward to our next visit there.

Nice house

Check in may be difficult as the Mgr doesn't send info to VRBO. However, I msg & was helped very quickly. The host supplies everything needed for your stay including washing powder. We were missing a blanket for the couch bed but I believe this was an oversight and we simply bought one. The couch is not new. It is the old one pictured and terribly needs replaced. We didn't complain bc there's really no use. What are they gonna do? Bring a new couch? Location is wonderful in the Sea Pines Resort. We never did find (and certainly couldn't hear) the beach but enjoyed the lush landscape which makes the house feel secluded. Like most of HH this house does have palmetto bugs and cockroaches.

The property was quiet and secluded just enough. It was only A short walk to the beach and pool.

Everything was smooth. I was told I had to pay the daily entrance fee upon arrival. But by simply telling the gate attendant that the owner said our gate pass was at the property, he just let us enter without paying. The description of the property stated brand new sleeper sofa. That was not accurate. It was older and already broken down and smelled of wet dog.

Relaxing get away for 2

Very clean, cozy place. My husband and myself had a wonderful time. Beach was very close my frenchie loved it. Dog friendly beach. Sea pines is a nice area. Lots of place's to eat. The house was great we will be back. Loved the place.
