“Cosy Corner Cottage is indeed a very cosy cottage. It's off the main road, so you'll park a little distance away from the front door. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very simply laid out. It's ideal for a couple looking for a quiet bolt hole in the middle of the Peak District. Baslow is a great village with plenty of pubs, grocery shopping at the local store or Co-op, and the Cavendish Hotel where you can get a 5-star meal. “really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! ”

“WISH WE HADN’T!!! . No lights at all working on communal stairs so pitch black up to top floor apartment apartment. Stuff from other flats left on stairs so added to trip hazard. Kitchen poorly equipped , we had to go and buy something to cook in , no bread board , peeler etc. oven was disgusting, oily and old burnt food left in it . communication on location and flat number very poor so we ended up knocking on other people’s doors until we got a call from Vrbo finally . Smoke alarm in front……

“The host never got in touch with us. We was out hiking in the Peak District and was on edge as the host wasn’t replying to us. Calling kept going to voicemail. We raised this issue with customer support however they couldn’t get in touch either so they had to cancel our booking and refund us. So we had to drive home after waiting outside of the property and spend even more money on fuel also. Absolutely shocking. Hopefully this host is removed from the site for wasting our time. “We stayed here for a halfterm trip to Alton towers due to it being only 15 mins away. Beautiful cottage, beautiful views. Lots of sheep. Only downfall was no phone signal but wifi provided and as we were only really there morning and evening it didnt really matter. Was nice to have a break from it all and to sit and chill. ”
