"This is just an extraordinary place. Have some reluctance to represent it accurately, lest crowds descend and keep me from enjoying a repeat visit. Yet I do suspect that the standard set here, by this owner, of clear, cordial communication and comprehensively thoughtful service, is quite rare indeed. "Rod and Gloria were wonderful host. Our ferry arrived after dinner hours, so they prepared a platter of sandwiches so we'd have something for dinner. Rod greeted us upon arrival and provided an overview of the area and recommended various sites to see. We stayed at several B&Bs during our Scotland trip and this one was our favorite. "
