"OK, this is a very small place, right off the main highway, but finding it was a bit of a challenge because of its size. It's on the end of a small strip center with 3 or 4 other businesses and offices. Then, when you get to the front door, you'll probably find it locked with a sign that gives you a phone number. The manager doesn't maintain a front desk. Rather, she checks you in by phone and texts the instructions. It's unique, but it worked well. The key to the room? a code that she inputs and sends with very clear, detailed instructions. She did text a couple of times, making sure everything was OK, so in reality, we had no quarrel with the method once we figured it out. The electronic key worked very well. The room was good--large, well-maintained, with parking right beside the door. There obviously wasn't a breakfast, but that seems to be the rule rather than the exception on the Kenai Peninsula. Would we stay there again? Yes with no concerns at all. Just be forewarned about the odd check-in. It's a great little motel."

"We've stayed with this chain before (in Fairbanks in 2006) and found basically the same types of buildings. The rooms are huge--the one in Anchorage was actually a suite--two bedrooms, bath, walk-in closet, two tables, and a full kitchen. Additionally, they're the only place we stayed with a breakfast instead of just coffee. As with the others, there was no air conditioning, but while we were there, we needed heat or an extra blanket. So, if it had all this, why the lower rating? One thing: the electrical system hadn't been updated since it was built (40s or 50s?). Many of the plugs didn't work, there were no USB ports, and despite all the room, we had to hunt for places to charge phones and tablets. Do I recommend this place? Yes--price is good, room was amazing, breakfast was lovely--but that darned electrical situation makes my recommendation one with caution, especially if you've got children who all have their own devices to charge."

"Overall good hotel, conveniently located in walking distance to supermarket amd Walgreens with plenty of parkings. Clean but clraners work only to 10am. If you need something to be cleaned, they will do it next morning. However, I was about giving a 5star review but then breakfast happened. We checked in on weekend but was going to stay 4 nights. We were told that breakfast was included and available through 10am. Travelling with kids, it means waking up at 9am. Just for breakfast. We are not morning family and we were on vacation. It was not easy. And then weekday came. We were downstairs at 9:30 to found out closed doors to the breakfast area. You should see the eyes of 5yo with her cereals in hands listening that milk is not available anymore. They just forgot to let us know that on weekdays breakfast ended 30 min earlier. C'mon it's July - many people on vacation there! The only time to sleep enough. And when my brother with his wife could not use their shuttle to airport because it was full, I was not surprised already. Bus left about equal amount of people in the hall as it took to airport. Customer service may kill even overall good impression."
