“Das Zimmer war groß und hatte zwei Doppelbetten. Man hat die Möglichkeit das Zimmer über ein Thermostat beliebig zu heizen. Es gab zwei Badezimmer - ein sehr großes im oberen Stock bei den Schlafzimmern und ein kleineres im unteren Stock bei der Küche. Das Frühstück wurde zwischen 7 und 9 Uhr in der Küche in Buffetform angerichtet. Wir waren zwei Nächte und bekamen einmal Blueberry Pancakes mit Speck und einmal Breakfastburritos. Zusätzlich gab es auch die Möglichkeit Brot zu toasten mit Butter……

“Worth it! Brilliant location. Feels like being directly out in nature, but all the amenities of home. Timeless memories of sitting on the front deck of our own log cabin in the woods taking in the sights, sounds and scents of the kenai bush. “The location of the Bear Necessities cottages is rural and quiet, yet close to town. Our cottage, though small, was clean and comfortable with a good shower. There is no air-conditioning, which is typical in Alaska. Heat was provided by a diesel heater. This was a little unusual, but we got used to it and it worked fine. No complaints. Would easily stay here again.”

“The place is cute, clean and a place I would recommend staying. First, you walk in and you see the living room, dining table and kitchen, all simply put together. The fun plus was seeing the Ms. Pac-Man arcade game. The bedrooms were clean, there were plenty of towels in the adequate bathrooms, and the cupboards in the kitchen had sufficient items to utilize. The odd things were the electric ceramic stovetop which wasn't easy to use, so we had to Google it. Some pans would not work on the……

“We like everything about this property! We travel extensively and I really believe this host offered the “little” details possible. A small candy dish, a booklet full of local information, soft towels, make up towels, nice shower heads, coffee products, etc…. We enjoyed the balcony, recliners and soft bed. Nearby float planes coming and going did make noise that could bother some, but we know those sounds are the price of adventure for others, overall this is a great place to stay!”
