Nice Little House

The house was great, in a queit area just a couple walking blocks from the beach. The sand pit was great for the kids as it was pretty windy on the beach one day. Communication with the owner was very good and she was responsive to questions. Definitely recommend!

Needs a good thorough cleaning.

Overall the stay was nice, however the home needs a good deep cleaning. There was cobwebs on the chandelier, food stains on the comforters and pillows, food in the chair in the living room, hair and pee stains on the mattress in the second bedroom, broken laundry room doors, dishwasher looked like it had slaw in it and had to be cleaned and sanitized before use, dishes were gross and dirty. No linens are provided (sheets, pillowcases, comforters, towels, etc.).

OBX stay

Stay is good. It is very near to beaches, food, groceries and Wright brothers memorial. The only issue we faced is the dish washer. Water came out with soap after 5mins of switching on the dish washer (we used what they have provided if that matters). Need to clean up the living room which we didn't expect at all. Apart from that no other complaints.

Perfect for our family and my parents!

The property is within walking distance to public beach access. It was clean and well supplied with everything we needed to make our meals. They also provided plenty of beach supplies like chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. The sand boxes under the house provided awesome entertainment for our kiddos while we cooked. Overall great property and great experience. Thank you to the property managers and owners!!

Sunlit Home Near Everything!

Celebrating Memorial Day, and my husband’s birthday, we stayed at this sunlit house and enjoyed the location - walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The huge deck gave us space to chill. The beach themed decorations added to the charm. The house was organized and had all of the kitchen supplies we needed. We only used one room. The main bed was comfortable. The WiFi needs a definite upgrade. We were working from here and that was a challenge. Overall we highly recommend choosing this home!

Ok for our first trip to the OBX

The house is a nice size, well equipped kitchen. A few things I didn’t care for were the king bed in the second bedroom is noisy and not very comfortable. To me it didn’t look like it had been cleaned before we got there, disappointed by that, black mold in both showers, dust on both toilets, dirty floors all around the baseboards. It’s fairly close to the main road and can hear road noise, can’t see the ocean or even hear it from the house.

Stay in Kill Devil Hills

We enjoyed our stay recently at this property. It is conveniently located to allow site seeing around the outer banks. The neighborhood is safe and the home has some great decking for outside seating! There are many historical sites within an hour or less and all are easy to get to. The house was great, but a couple of things would have made it most accommodating. It would have been nice to have dish towels and rags on hand and garbage bags. Also, more attention to detail with cleaning could be improved on. Overall, we liked the location and our stay!

Beach house close to everything

This house was in a great location, close to a gas station, a drug store and literally right behind a restaurant as well as walking distance to a few breakfast spots and public access to the beach and a local ice cream joint. Check in and out was simple. The house was clean and there were some left overs from the previous guests ( toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels) we left some behind as a start for the next ones also. Renting linens for our stay was unsuccessful, so keep in mind that there are no towels and linens provided- I missed that in my initial review of the house. The porch and "family space" below the house were exceptional. You can't see the water from the porch but you can hear it. I would absolutely stay here again! And have already recommended the house to others

Great Family House

This house was amazing for our trip. The sand box underneath the house kept my kids entertained for hours while we were not out on the beach. It was a great and can’t wait to stay there again!

Lovely home

Cute home in a good location

Cute home, we loved all the colors and special touches. Good location to travel up and down OBX. Couple of things could use some attention - the king bed in the guest room could use a refresh, the shower drain in the master bathroom gurgles a lot which it shouldn't be doing (doesn't sound like there is a trap in there) and we did have a fairly good size red cockroach in the master bedroom shower. We only saw one which we killed but it may be time to have pest control in again. These were all minor issues that wouldn't prevent us from staying here again.

Mini vacay

We really enjoyed this beautiful house. The cleaning person did not do a good job but there was a vacuum and broom that we could use and we did. The only thing I wish the owner would change is the mattress in the middle bedroom. It’s very uncomfortable and loud when you move the slightest bit.. My hubby, 5 year old and myself slept in the bed. It could just be a queen in the room so it would be more room to move around. Overall we loved the openness of the home and location.

Spring break!

The location of this house could not have been more convenient- minutes from anything you need, 5 minute walk to the beach, and close to fun attractions. Our family was very comfortable here, plenty of space and comfortable beds. We will definitely be back!

Pros and Cons - Overall very nice

I’m just going to write the pros and cons. Pros: -House was a perfect size for us. 4 adults 2 children. - Very clean - Decorated nicely - Deck was a very nice hangout area. Cons: -Mattresses were not comfortable. The nicest one was in the master. The other rooms felt like you were laying on a board. - I was depending on the outdoor games and toys for my kids… Boogieboard was broken in half, cornhole was missing the beanbags, badminton was missing the birdies, a couple beach chairs looked in very fair condition, also the one bike was extremely rusted. Overall it was a very nice house. I would stay here again, I would just pack more activities for the children.
