  • Welcome to Daydream Too, a comfortable golf-course retreat located inside the gated Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure resort community. Overlooking the 13th hole of Bald Mountain Golf Course, this spacious home is ideal for golf trips, family vacations, and group getaways where everyone can enjoy time together while still having their own space. Enjoy easy no-stairs access to the main level, a spacious loft, and evenings around the propane fire pit on the deck overlooking Bald Mountain Golf Course. Guest passes provide access to Rumbling Bald’s beach, pools, lazy river, fitness center, golf, tennis, pickleball, and more.
    The home sleeps up to 10 guests and features a unique layout with two separate living areas, making it perfect for multi-family stays or groups traveling together. The private lower-level guest suite has its own entrance, 2 bedrooms, bath, and kitchenette.

    The main level offers easy no-stairs access from the parking area, making it convenient for guests of all ages. Inside you’ll find an open-concept living space with comfortable seating, a large Smart TV, and a cozy gas fireplace (seasonal Oct–May).

Enjoyed our Father's Day weekend stay at this property, thanks in large part to the property manager, who was an excellent communicator and very responsive. Everything was as advertised, and the house was very clean. We did not take full advantage of the gated community (other than the golf course), but the community amenities appeared to be very good. Depending on which direction you're coming from, it may take a while to get to - for us, it was about 45 minutes from I-40. All in all, we were very pleased with the stay and the community, and there were a quite a few good restaurants within 20-25 minutes.

Dream Too was the perfect choice for me and my son’s to spend much needed time together. Location was perfect. The house was spotless and didn’t have that same old same old rental vibe! Would definitely come back! Karen

Excellent vacation home for families

Even though the weather didn’t cooperate the week we were there we still had a great time at this house! The close proximity to the amenities made it an ideal location. The separate apartment below (included) was perfect for my daughter since she had an infant who needed a quiet place to nap. I would highly recommend!!

Wonderful Space for Multigenerational Vacation:)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 across 3 generations truly enjoyed our time at Daydream Too! There are 2 nice bedrooms on the main level and a spacious loft with a pullout sofa bed upstairs. My teens enjoyed 2 separate bedrooms with their own kitchen and pullout sofa in the lower level accessible by an outdoor stairway off the deck. The deck is truly an outdoor living room and makes you feel like you're in a treehouse. Fun to see golfers teeing off beside the lower deck leading to the downstairs section of the home. We enjoyed cooking on the large gas grill. Since my mom was on crutches at the time, we appreciated the easy no-steps entry. The home was very clean and the beds were comfy. There were plenty of towels and linens. The home is located within a 3 minute drive to Rumbling Bald's fabulous amenities including pools, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, sandy beach, putt-putt and restaurants. Overall great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience at DayDream Too! Check-in was a breeze! Sue was very quick to answer any questions we had. We thought the ice maker didnt work in the freezer and she was ready to send a service person plus drop ice off that same day. But we figured it out, we didnt have the ice button on, LOL! The house was beautiful and so comfortable for our family and had everything we needed. We had 7 adults and two children. My daughter, son-in-law, their 4 and 1 year old stayed in the apartment below and was just perfect for them! My brother with special needs enjoyed the loft, it was his own area and he loved it. I would recommend renting a golf cart as we did, it was so much easier going back and forth to the lake and pool. All the employees working at the resort were so friendly! We wanted a family picture taken and we asked one of the employees if they could take it for us. The guy didnt hesitate to say yes and he was so funny!~ also, if you are looking for a great restaurant then you will want to go to Legends on the Lake! Again, Thank you Sue for an amazing first family vacation!

Comfortable Home in Community with Great Amenities!

The house is comfortable, and the separation of the upstairs and downstairs suites worked well for our extended family. Although not the best equipped vacation rental we've ever stayed in, it had all the necessities and we took advantage of the great Weber grill on the deck for multiple meals. The only caveat I would like to mention is that the "Walk to Beach" claim is not for everyone. Although not a long distance, it's down a very steep hill. You might make it to the beach, but walking up is going to be a challenge for many people. Fortunately, golf cart rentals are available in this very amenity-rich community. We loved the pools (especially the Lazy River!), played pickleball for the first time, and went to the driving range a few times. We also rented kayaks at the boat rental shop in Rumbling Bald.

Most Relaxing Vacation Ever

The apartment downstairs allowed our three teenagers privacy while giving us some quiet time! Our boys (13,15,16) woke early every morning and took advantage of all the amenities and enjoyed the fire at night! We loved the lake beach and the pool! Someone told us it was “crowded” and we thought it was quiet! We met so many nice people, enjoyed several meals at Legends. The best part was the last night our boys offering to help pay for another night because they weren’t ready to go back to “ all the distractions teenagers have at home.”

Heaven on Earth

From the moment I drove up to this perfectly situated home, sitting atop a hill, I knew my weekend was going to be spectacular. As soon as I opened the door, I was welcomed with a sense of comfort. A colorful decor, tastefully and carefully detailed to a guest’s every need. I quickly walked from room to room, admiring the layout and the interior design. The kitchen was fully equipped with my every need, allowing me to have a comfortable meal, after stocking the fridge with my faves. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the loft with my morning coffee...very peaceful. The outdoor deck, invited me to sit above the golf course tee box and watch the sun set over the cliffs, while having a glass of wine under the bristling leaves...Heaven on earth. I highly recommend Daydream Too for your future stay because not only can you daydream on the deck but you can have sweet dreams in your cozy bed, after enjoying a full day of activities, including golf, tennis or getting a great walk in the community and end up by the lake, being enchanted by the views.
