"If you do not understand “rustic” this is NOT the place for you. If you MUST have complete privacy (no doors on either bedroom) this is probably not the place for you. If you grew up camping in the 70’s and you miss it but your body has had enough of the cold hard ground - THIS is what you need! The doors and door handles take me back to visiting Great Grandma. The absolute charm of a northern cabin! Yet he has modernized the bathroom to the point of never wanting to leave. The hosts attention to small details- York peppermint patties on the bed stands, bag of treats on the top shelf with a box of toys on the floor for our dog, towels folded so you feel like you’re in a 5star hotel, 1/2 dozen farm fresh eggs and bottles of water in the fridge, the homemade brownies made up for the fact that the promised campfire was rained out. Jonathan should be very proud of all the updates he has made thus far!Icing on the cake- his knowledge of the area - where to fish, where to hike, good places to eat etc! We will be looking for this place when we’re in the area again!"

"It was a perfect vacation getaway. The beach was in great shape but the lake had a lot of seaweed at the end of the deck. The homeowner was very interactive when we had a small issue, had someone there in minutes to fix it"

"Nicely decorated and clean. Check in and departure was a breeze with a door code given to you prior to arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked with whatever you needed to cook with and plenty of towels available for both kitchen/bath. Thankful for the AC during our stay when the temps were in the 90's. Shane responded quickly to any questions or concerns. The sunsets were an added bonus to our stay. Would definitely recommend."
