“We wished we had stayed longer. This is a wonderful property, well maintained and the owners are close by. The back yard is beautifully landscaped and offers a full view of the volcano covered deck area and a small pool to cool off in. Beds are comfortable and the house offers everything you could need. La Fortuna is a hidden gem. I have been to CR over 40 times and never made it here. Great restaurants and activities and a wonderful place to relax when the day is over. Highly recomended.”

Patrick and the "sunset team" were terrific, from the fabulous daily breakfasts to the top notch excursions that were recommended. The only negative thing I would mention is that the house could be challenging for those with disabilities, as you had to step up or down to get from room to room and there was no railing on the stairway up to the second floor. “The Ranch Villa Arenal is a gorgeous house and property. We felt at home and fell in love with Yadi the house keeper/cook and Joaquin the grounds keeper. Yadi cooked a delicious breakfast every day and Joaquin entertained us with tours of the working ranch. The Fortuna area offers many activities for all age groups. Our family had a fantastic time and highly recommend this property. Pura Vida.”

“We certainly enjoyed our stay! We had quite a bit of mis-communication with the host as well as no hot water for the first day we were there (propane tank had run out). The tiny ants all over the kitchen are probably par for the course in such a climate - I would have like a can of bug spray available. Nevertheless, the property worked out very well for us and our 6 adult "kids".”

“This was such a nice stay. The home was great and very well built and stocked with all you need. it was so nice to sit outside, enjoy the pool and the lush surroundings. The care taker came and showed us the local sloth and we had a nice walk around the property. There are 2 other rentals but they are all very well separated. You opulent tell anyone else was around and each back yard:pool area was very private. We lived out time there.”

“We went for my wife's 40th birthday with multiple families with kids. It was a perfect venue and stay that was closer to the Liberia airport vs Fortuna. We had Tucans on the property, parrots, and plenty of beautiful birds. There is enough distance from each of the villas that gave you some privacy, but close enough to also feel together easily. “We were amazed at the sounds and sights while staying here! So many birds, monkeys and even an otter came to visit the pond! It was fun playing in the pool and the rain! Not too far from La Fortuna and small convenience shops at the end of the road. The kitchen isn’t really suitable for cooking for a family and isn’t very well equipped so probably best to eat out or make snacks only. The AC worked well and we enjoyed our stay here!
