“Amazing little gem in East Texas!! We had a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing 5 days here. The cabin was beautiful with the live edge pine and cedar on the walls. The hosts were very welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. They went out of their way to make sure our trip was an enjoyable one and we had everything we needed. The baked treats were delicious. They also made our dogs feel very welcome and surprised them with a lovely treat bag. We read the amenities ahead of time so knew we would need to bring...

“We all loved this home so very much that we are thinking about already booking for next summer. From the perfect location, beautiful home and decor to the relaxing back patio to hang out on and wait for deer to wander up. The house was so clean with plenty of towels for everyone and the kitchen was stocked with any dishes we may have needed. Host was friendly and communicated so very well. Can't wait to return!! ”

“This was the perfect place for a retreat with a mix of southern hospitality and the country life not far from civilization. Mitsy and Jason were the best host we’ve had thus far. They do their best to ensure you have fun and relaxing experience with all of the games, ATV and trails as well as the hot tub! You won’t be disappointed we definitely weren’t. “Perfect for a weekend getaway! Just 15 miles from historic downtown Jefferson where we spent the days. Then back to the cabin on Lake of the Pines to watch the sunset on the porch of the cabin. So quiet the only noise was the birds at the water and the squirrels chattering and playing. ”

“There is almost no where to stay in Gilmer, but this cabin was perfect. You can hear the road noise, but it’s really not horrible. We have family of 6, with kids between the ages of 1-14. Everyone had their own bed, and our older kids thought the loft was really cool. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The A/C works great. My kids enjoyed walking the property too. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family. ”

“Loved everything about this place. House was great - big enough for everyone with plenty of space. Pool table and games galore! Comfortable beds! Well stocked! Right on the lake with great views from almost anywhere in the house. we brought our boat and caught several fish! Mainly bass but also a catfish. The boathouse with the lift was a huge plus. Communication with the host was great! Check in and out was super easy. Would highly recommend!! - ”

“Great communication with the host. The cabin was clean , very comfortable and organized. Been coming to Lake Bob Sandlin since the 80s , I’ve owned two log homes in Camp Branch in the past. I highly recommend. ”
