"Such a great place to stay for a couple of days exploring the local area.
The food is great, the breakfast was the best part for me. I was very pleased to see you get to order from a menu at breakfast and everything felt like great quality.
Staff were really friendly too. "
"The location was ideal for our travel plans and was a rural, quiet spot. The room was so inviting with dual aspect views and good lighting. There was plenty of parking and the staff were extremely polite and welcoming. "
"Gorgeous room, clean, big and very pretty interior. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The breakfast is cooked to order and was very good and they were very accommodating for our toddlers needs. Our toddler loved the playground and the outside garden was perfect to sit until late in the evening."
"I loved my stay here. Janine was so welcoming! The breakfast was absolutely delicious!
The room was large, beautifully decorated and so very comfortable!
Thank you so very much!!"

"Our stay at The Queen’s Head was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are spacious, much bigger than the photos suggest, with super-comfy beds. They’re set quietly at the back, away from pub noise, so you can enjoy a peaceful rest indoors or outside. The pub itself has a cosy, authentic old British vibe.
The real highlight is the food — beyond excellent. Every dish bursts with flavour and care. As Indians, we were amazed by how perfectly balanced and delicious the British food was. Portions are generous and every meal exceeded expectations.
Joe, the manager, is exceptional — generous, kind, and attentive. His hospitality and that of the staff made us feel so welcome. My mom loved the brownies, and Joe even packed extras for her to take home. He also brought out a Carolina Reaper chilli sauce when we asked for more spice — such thoughtful service.
The outdoor seating among grapevines is peaceful and almost spiritual. The music adds to the warm, relaxed vibe. Everything — rooms, food, service, and ambience — feels well thought-out and offers incredible value.
Smoked salmon with poached eggs for breakfast, and even Negroni shots included in the breakfast menu — can you imagine! Exceptional place with heart, soul, and outstanding food. Highly recommended.

"Excellent evening meal options, very clean and great breakfast. My only point to raise was that breakfast didn’t start until 8am, meaning those of us starting work for 9am couldnt enjoy it."
"The second time we have been back to stay, and it certainly won’t be the last! For us it is the perfect dog friendly, relaxing, walking, special treat weekend. I have recommended this to many friends."

"We were not able to stay as the property was double booked. The booking was confirmed and money taken but on phoning the property on our way down were told it was already booked!"
"Very good host, and accomodating to my needs in getting away early in the morning, allowing for an early breakfast.
The room was immaculate, spacious and very comfortable."

"We found this property to be spotlessly clean. Great views and lovely outside seating area. A great place to relax and do nothing but read books, look at the stars or sit outside with a glass of something. We wish we could have stayed longer."
