However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. “This was such. great stay at a lovely, charming, quirky and historic hotel. It is in the heart of things, and handy for all NOLA highlights, but is still quiet and peaceful. Beautiful architecture, meandering passageways and interior courtyard with fountain, and a real sense of history. The staff are all lovely and Perry was a blast on the front office. I loved it so much. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in New Orleans!”
