Overall this was a lovely place, esp. for us fog-lovers! And we're thinking of staying here when we come back in December. It's easy to find, on a very quiet street, sweet neighborhood, close to shopping, restaurants, freeways, and to the shore. It was very clean and well-stocked and all the arrangements went without a hitch.
But a few issues (at least for us) prevented us from giving 5 stars.
First, the size of the TV and the way it's mounted in such a small space invites walking right into it for both tall(6'2") and short(5'4") guests. We had to shift the angle in order to walk safely past it and even then it was still in the way.
Second, the auto-light in the bathroom is very bright which is problematic for guests whose sleep is disrupted by sudden light. There seemed to be no way to turn it off or dim it, though we managed to blocked it with a towel. The smaller plug-in night light was fine.
Third, I almost cut my hand on a large knife while reaching into the kitchen utensils drawer. A knife that size should be stored where guests can easily see it.
Fourth, the air freshener was overpowering and we had to unplug it immediately. This could be a big problem for guests who are really sensitive to strong odors.
Fifth, the auto-open trash can lid needed a new battery or plug, it wasn't working for us.
