“Our flight landed on time just before midnight. This of course meant that we would be checking in very late....no problem as manager there to welcome us . We settled in quickly but as we were booked in for just one night we were checking out around midday........we enjoyed a relaxing walk around the grounds behind the hotel and then moved on. Would certainly stay there again and recommend the hotel, especially for a family.”
“The staff at the Tambre are lovely! It’s a family business and they will do anything to help. Breakfast is very good value with a great range of fruit, cakes and savoury options. It’s a 15 minutes walk to the cathedral.”
“This was most unique place to stay. Quaint quirky and a lot of history. The rooms were were very quaint with sloping ceilings and stone walls. The breakfast room and breakfast itself were good. Free parking was a bonus too.
Only negative was that we visited in a very hot spell, and being an old property therefore no air condition, which we understood but a fan in each of our rooms would have be so appreciated. Being in the eaves was exceptionally hot with only a velux to open.”
“Hotel algo anticuado en la decoración y ubicado cerca del centro pero si estar en la zona centro nueva de la ciudad o en el casco histórico. Está a unos 10 minutos andando de las calles de la zona céntrica de la ciudad y a unos 15 minutos de la zona antigua.
Hotel grande y con buena atención al cliente. El desayuno algo caro. Está en una zona residencial con el campus universitario sur enfrente.
Las habitaciones son amplias (aunque ya indiqué que algo anticuadas). ”
“Muy centrico, con estación de tres/bus a 10 minutos y centro antiguo a misma distancia. Hotel básico pero con lo necesario para una buena estancia. Personal muy atento y amable. Muy recomendable.”
"The location is good and the room is clean. There were 2 small towels for our cleaning of our dirty shoes which I like as it saves the clean towels and environmental friendly. But there was an accidental alarm rang which woke all of the residents up. "
