Our happy place has always been Michigan, we go a few times a year for hunting, fishing, nature and I reading. Everything we needed was provided, if it wasn't the host was quick to respond and we were even checked on to ensure we had a memorable stay. “This was a very nice home right on Bass Lake. we started our day on the back porch sipping coffee and watching a muskrat in the lake. Bortell’s was a very short drive. Downtown Pentwater was very close. We drove and walked to a beach access point on Lake Michigan. Managing temperature in the house was very difficult, there is central heat and maybe a stand alone A/C unit. we were able to open windows to keep things cool part of the day, but in the heat of summer it might be tough to stay……

“Great location. We stayed in summer and it was very warm in the house. They told us there was a window unit but we never found it. Smoke detectors started going out around 11:30 one night. Are hardwired in so couldn’t take all the way off so just had to hear the beep. When we arrived the keypad wouldn’t work so had to use a key. Great location and really cool property. If it was cool at night it could be a perfect place. ”
