The room was basically as advertised. The king size bed is 2 twins put together so there is a lump in the middle if you choose that option. The Mountain View was great, the kitchen and lounge area were nice as well. The whole restroom is a little tough to keep dry as the shower is the same floor. Room was a good size and featured a big bathroom and a small “kitchen” and fridge. There is an upstairs lounge with incredible views and a big kitchen if you want to cook your own meals since the restaurant options are few and expensive in Mount Cook Village. The room was very quiet and also had a big double chair that could be pulled out into a single bed. The walls are a bit thin but everyone without exception respected this fact so it wasn’t a problem . The staff are helpful and parking is relatively easy either at the front in the evening or at the back during the day . The views of Mount Cook from the communal area and the upper bedrooms at the front are perfect . Nice to sit with you coffee looking at the mountains .
