My favorite hotel is turning into a cash cow. Pool area losing amenities it used to have. Lack of staff, some amenities shut down unexpectedly. There are some really friendly staff but they can only do so much. I felt they were also crying for help. Therefore, I have to assume is poor management. I booked through hotels.com and would not let me change booking so I would not book through hotels.com for this particular hotel. I would book directly. Hotels.com states that you can change booking but do not tell you "only under certain circumstances. Chateau also added $15-$20 mandatory nightly parking fees which Hotels.com did not list as a fee so that was a nice surprise. Beds super comfortable and food was really good.

We took our 4 year old grandson and had a great time. The property was clean, the staff was helpful, the resort is very family friendly and we had so much fun at the pools. We are hoping to be back next year with the whole family!

This is a beautiful resort. The houses you stay in are so cute. But they are not as clean as they should be. Our unit smelled so strongly of mold and mildew it was awful. The furniture was dirty and had a panel falling off of a chair that had been stapled way to many times. My husband actually stepped on the staples that were sticking out of the piece of the chair that had fallen in the floor.
The unit could easily have been wonderful if they actually cleaned them. Not just changed bedding and such. The shower door was broken. And the sofa bed was was also broke n. So if they would put some time and money into the unit it would have been very nice. Also the pools were filthy. The main pool at pirates cove was so dirty it was slick with algae and kids were slipping and falling as they walked from the shallow part into the pool. They advertise 2 pools, but the second pool was closed both days we were there. They said they were shocking it. It was green so it obviously needed something. But in July peek travel season these pools should be in good condition for the guests.

Stayed on July 7 2026, Wednesday:
It’s an older property. Almost vacant, entire complex, seems to cater to v.i.p. Group. Best part of the condo was the outdoor veranda area. Check in at 4pm…wow! Unless VIP, then check in is noon? After a drive from Texas, got there 2 pm. Had to wait 2 hours for a call that unit was ready. Never got the call so went back to office and after a while they let us in to the unit. 4th floor. Elevators all the way. Then the neighbors showed up. Wow so loud sounded like they were in our unit. Thin door separating units was located near living room. Resort fees? For what? No golf found, no marina, no restaurants, 1 pool full of kids, it’s a very large complex, but empty and kind of let go. Branson as a whole was a big disappointment.Most of the attractions were closed or ghosted… Roaring River State Park. THAT WAS NICE.
