- London leads the way for most searched hotels
- Relaxation is key with pools and hotel restaurants topping the amenities for 2024
December 2024, LONDON — Today the Hotels.com 2024 wrap-up was revealed, listing the most popular hotels, destinations and amenities searched for by Brits over the past year.
Brits are London mad with the top 10 searched for hotels all based in the capital1. However, year-on-year the list looks quite different with only 50% of 2023’s top hotels2 holding onto their top 10 status.
Most Searched London Hotels1:
- citizenM London Victoria
- The Hoxton Shepherds Bush
Most Searched Hotels Outside London:
After London, Manchester is the next hotel hotspot for Brits. Most searched for Mancunian hotels include Wilde Aparthotels, Manchester, YOTEL Manchester Deansgate, Malmaison Manchester Deansgate, Clayton Hotel, Manchester City Centre and Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre.
In third place, Brits are looking to explore Edinburgh with the following hotels coming in as the most popular outside London and Manchester: Virgin Hotels Edinburgh, YOTEL Edinburgh, W Edinburgh and Village Hotel Edinburgh.
Most Searched Hotel Amenities:
Hotels.com analysed the most popular amenities and found that travellers are prioritising R&R. Searches for a pool topped the list, compared to high-speed internet in 20233. Earlier this year, Hotels.com revealed that a key travel trend for 2025 is Hotel Restaurant Renaissance, that is booking a hotel stay with a notable dining experience. It’s no surprise that hotels with restaurants are up 232% YoY4 as a fifth of Brits said the hotel restaurant is much more appealing than 5 years ago5 and it’s a major decision when deciding where to stay. Other top amenities included high-speed internet, hot tub and pet-friendly properties.
