Calling all Chicago developers
We’re at it again with another public hackathon—this time in Chicago! A full Expedia engineering team will be on-site with local developers who are up to the challenge, hacking all weekend to develop fresh new travel concepts. The event will be hosted from April 30–May 1, 2016 at TechNexus.
You can look forward to opportunities to connect with the Expedia team and ask questions in real time about the APIs and tech tips. There will be food for thought and nourishment throughout the weekend to help fuel the creativity. Project development will wrap up on Sunday and final teams will present their projects to a panel of awesome judges, including Pascal Collet, Senior Director of Technology at Expedia Worldwide Engineering, and Ryan Kowalczyk Senior Director of Global Product at Expedia, Inc., and more.
You can register for the hackathon here as a solo participant or in a team of up to four people. And to learn more about the APIs we expose during our hackathon, please visit hackathon.expedia.com.
As always, we will have awesome prizes for the winning teams.
- 1st Place Award: $5,000 Amazon gift card
- 2nd Place Award: $2,000 Amazon gift card
- 3rd Place Award: $1,000 Amazon gift card
We look forward to hosting another hackathon to bring together computer science aficionados for a chance to build cool technology—like apps or new scenarios—and connect with likeminded technologists!
