I am visiting Aquascalientes for the Fair National San Marcos. The location here is excellent. Within walking distance of the events.For me it's all about the location.

I enjoyed the hotel with the nice restaurant services. My room was kept clean and orderly with a lady who was very kind and detailed. The staff were very responsive and helpful. There was easy access to many fine restaurants and on going events. This was a winner and they did a nice upgrade.

The property has potential, hotel rooms need to be painted - walls very dingy. Bathroom needs updating. Food very limited - downstairs bar extremely limited choices - no wine - upstairs Bar very nice but bartender unfriendly and slow service - difficult to get ice in room. Housekeepers wonderful!

Terrific location. Hotel is old, everything is dated, room is spacious & basic, bed was comfy, walls are very thin. Staff was pleasant. Overall our wknd stay was good

Old and in need of lots of TLC. Repairs with hammers done in middle of night, 12-12:30 Am. Manager said thanks for telling me. Air conditioner didn’t work for 2 nights and they install and uninstall safe ??. Took 2 requests to get one. Hall carpet never seems clean. But it’s location is great. That will keep them open. Lobby dark and stained.

All my stay was great. Thank you to all the Hotel Francia staff, helpful and friendly at all the time. Great hotel spot; clean and neat. I was offered an upgrade and was awesome.

Disappointing. We got the last room on the 6th floor. The room smelled so bad The carpet was wet The phone didn’t have any wire (and no, it wasn’t wireless) No hangers No hand towels Dust and first inside the closet The carpet in the aisles was dirty Carpet in terrible shape Cups for water broken Really old towels (you can see the treats coming out) After I when back down to the reception, because the phone was just an ornament, I explain to the lady all the things that were happening at the hotel. She didn’t even apologized. She told me “here you are, this are the keys for room 602, go and check it out just to see if this is better and you like it”… When we arrived to the room the restroom was locked, I checked underneath the beds to make sure that there were not bedbugs and I found garbage between the box spring and the mattress… Same problem with towels and housekeeping… I couldn’t leave because the reservation was already paid for 13 nights through EXPEDIA and it was after midnight. I do have pictures available if you need some proof.

The best point is the location, you can walk to the center in minutes. The hotel need a bit of renovation, is kinda outdated in general. Reception staff isn't too friendly, they need a better attitude to offer better service, be more warm. The bathroom has a smell if you close the door during the night, nothing serious and it goes away quickly. We only have two bottles of water for 3 days. The room has poor lighting, it's too dark. Also needs better cleaning, we noticed they didn't clean the floor of the bathroom properly. They have free parking and valet parking which didn't take too long to deliver the car. Restaurant is bit expensive and hasn't many options. Wifi is open and not too secure as a result. Since we only used it to sleep and take baths and go to visit the city, is a very good choice for the price

The location is great..close to everything. Buffet breakfast was generous, with new options every day. Hotel furnishings and decor are pretty dated, needs an update. Very loud at night (downtown location has lots of delivery btrucks all night.).

Great hotel with professional and courteous staff. The hotel has a long and distinguished history and is strategically located in the center of city well within walking distance to many historical points of interest, restaurants, museums and banks. I did not give the hotel a five star rating cause room service was unavailable due to the presence of a traveling football youth team. The staff did offer their complimentary buffet which I was grateful for but it would have been nice to experience one of the dinner menu items that I had heard so much about.

Ever since I saw this hotel the first time in Aguascalientes, I knew that I wanted to stay here. I got a chance this time and it did not disappoint. Yes, it is an older building, but that's what gives it character. The service was excellent! We also enjoyed their full breakfast!

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel, I was aware the hotel was old I wasn’t looking for a modern look but a clean downtown location. I walked in to a very dirty hotel lobby and reception floors and carpeted areas were very dirty. Staff mentioned they only had 1 vacuum for the whole hotel. Hallways to rooms were carpeted areas that were extremely dirty obviously they are not maintained. Walls are dirty too. Rooms were dirty carpeting worn out restroom mirrors were not clean, poop or blood smear on toilet paper holder, I complained to reception and changed rooms 3 times in 2 days had to request refund for the remaining week, I would never go back. Manager gave us a very hard time did not want to give us a refund for the remainder of our stay. I have pictures to back up my complaints
