Rabat, Morocco's capital, is situated about 80 miles (129 kilometers) northwest of Aguelmous, while Casablanca is 100 miles (161 kilometers) to the west.
It's a missed chance if you limit yourself to the points of interest in Aguelmous because the surrounding region has been graced with plenty of great things to do and see. Oulmes, is 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the southeast, while Azrou is located 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the southwest.
Meknes is 55 miles (89 kilometers) from Aguelmous. This center features a great selection of tourist attractions, including Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, Institut Francais de Meknes and Bab el-Mansour. Meknes has plenty to offer travelers keen to stay for a day or two. Kobt Souk, Place el-Hedim and Great Mosque are just a sample of the other interesting attractions not to miss.
Step back in time during your stay in the area. Make the time to visit one of the ruins for which the area is well known. The best places for travelers to visit when they arrive in a new town are the spots that provide a picture of the culture. Make a trip to Morocco's art galleries, palaces and art museums.
