Excellent staff!

Pros: Very helpful, nice staff.
Cons: Overall state of the building. Needs a complete makeover or remodel.
Location: 15 minutes from the Akron Zoo.
This hotel left a lot to be desired, from the old, stained carpets to the air conditioning taking hours to cool the room down, and the fact that it looks like one of those hotels from the movies where fugitives would hide while on the run. The staff, however, were the friendliest I've ever come across. We got into our room and realized there were no towels, and right before I called down to talk to someone about it, the front desk called us and asked if there was anything we needed. He called me by name and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as good as possible. The staff the next day was ready to do the same, making sure all the breakfast items were ready, the area was clean, and that we had everything we needed.

Pros: Said they allowed pets. Location was close to highway.
Cons: Do the jobs needed properly. Grout around the tile in the shower. Have remotes for all the TV's in the hotel. Put appliances in the spaces provided
Location: shopping and restaurants
Hard to find the front entrance to the hotel. Literature said "Pets allowed" but no indication that there was a $50 fee. No TV remote for the television in the room in the whole hotel. After unpacking we had to move. Bathroom plaster around toilet was stained and buckled. Place for microwave and fridge were left empty. No aerator on tap in sink. Hairdryer was dirty. Not going there again!!

Good Location, Good Price

The staff was friendly, the lobby and breakfast area are pleasant. The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but the room itself was fine. However, the bathroom needs some work. The paint was peeling off the wall next to the sink, and the tub diverter wasn't diverting properly so half the water to the shower head was coming out the tub spout instead. I was there for 5 nights. After three nights, I put some towels on the floor, which generally indicates that you want fresh towels. Well when I came back to the room that night, the dirty towels had been hung back up!! So, there seems to be a problem with housekeeping. I was on the third floor and the internet connection was very weak. I tried all the available wireless networks and even called the 800 tech support number, but the signal continued to be weak. It worked fine in the lobby, so I would usually bring my computer downstairs and use it while having breakfast.

Pros: the people that work there
Cons: the details need to be improved - and the bed - it was broken down
service was great - hot breakfast, nice touch - but not really up to what I would expect from a Choice Hotel. My bed was more or less broken on one side - the room was updated, but not done well and it just came across as something less than a Motel 6.

Convenient location

Pros: The location is perfect for us and the places we visit in the Akron area.
When we arrived in the room it didn't look like the beds had clean linens on them. One bed was not made correctly and there we no tissues. The people at the front desk sent housekeeping up immediately to take care of the situation and everyone was very pleasant, but puzzled, as I was, about the condition of the beds. The beds were comfortable and it was a good place to rest. The bathroom is tiny, but functional. The price per night was very good.

Unpleasant

oh it is terrible and found one sead bedbug and room was not clean when we came back from the day out.. And want to have the money back that we pay for it .. It is Unpleasant for us and my family ...

Deplorable

Check in took forever because the man who was running the front desk was in a long non-business conversation with some other person. The lobby was dirty the rooms were filthy the conditions of the rooms were dilapitated and I have never been so disappointed and disgusted in my entire life. I of course kept the room because it was already paid for and I was tired. I will never stay at such a place ever again paid for or not...

Quality Inn Stay Fairlawn Ohio

This was a very confusing stay. I contacted Hotels via phone for a motel that would accept my small dog and was given this motel. The day before my stay I called the motel to confirm my stay and the dog. I was informed that the dog could not stay? They said they had changed their policy 6 months prior? I could not change my plans so I had to make arrangements for my dog at my daughters house some 30 miles east. The hotel was dirty, the extras were non existent and it was uncomfortable. Not my idea of a recommended stay.
