"Amazing location"

"This is the best place to stay in Albi. We were in 2 different rooms, as we extended our stay. Each was lovely and spotlessly clean. Both had refrigerators plus extremely comfortable king-sized beds. One had a lovely terrace. The other was huge with an extra bed. Breakfast was delicious with fresh-squeezed orange juice. There is a cozy ambiance in the public spaces that invites guests to linger. The hotel is family-run with hosts who deliver personal attention that goes beyond making dinner reservations and calling taxis. ( if you do need a taxi, Cab-me offers personal attention also) At the hotel Stephane assisted with locating medical attention, a pharmacy and take -out meals. He made phone calls for us when French was needed. He switched us to a more convenient room. He even moved our car for us. Staff offered breakfast trays, extra towels and whatever we needed to assist with our sudden lack of mobility. We felt supported during a very stressful time. Thank you, Stephane and staff. We returned to the US and are recovering well but plan to return to France in the future to continue our interrupted trip - beginning at Hotel Les Pastileurs! "

"What a delightful house and a fabulous location. The very attentive owners have presented their lovely property in a charming rural style with great care and thought inside and out. There's plenty of space in the house and no fewer than 4 patios and seating areas in the very large garden. The swimming pool is a short walk along the very quiet road and was perfect for our three year old twins to enjoy after trips out in the morning. This is a beautiful region with medieval hilltop villages and castles to explore, and markets full of wonderful local produce to sample. The property is ideally located for these and the nearby city of Albi which is well worth a visit. We even managed a day trip to Carcassonne and the Black Mountains in the south of Tarn. A super holiday ad we'd love to return some day"

"The property is situated in a beautiful valley and the host provided guidance for things to see and do around. The gite is specious downstairs and the kids (and dog!) absolutely loved playing with the donkeys and the turtles. We were offered to purchase a home-cooked meal which was generous and tasty. The hosts were very friendly and patient with the kids and dog and allowed them to feed the animals. Our kids and dog really enjoyed their stay here! However the property wasn't quite what we expected. Firstly there is a road in between the gite and the pool/garden, whilst it is a quiet road, it was a bit nerve racking with the kids and the dog as the garden isn't enclosed and some cars pass by (even though slowly). The pool is an adequate size but it is freezing and the edge to it is really narrow, so it felt that it was likely that the kids could step out and fall backwards onto the ground. We brought our own bedding as they were charged at 13euros each for disposable bedding, and whilst we were told towels were provided free of charge and changed after a week (which didn't happen) we still had to request them on arrival. On departure, we were asked for 50 euros as a cleaning fee which came to us as a surprise, but Vbro confirmed we didn't have to pay this fee as it was never specified beforehand by the host. Also, mosquitos were ravenous (nobody's fault) but I recommend to bring lots of insect repellent and in hot weather the rooms upstairs are very hot."

"Very friendly service in a quaint and slightly funky setup (enter through the bar/restaurant). Quiet, clean and comfortable room. Excellent value for money. There's no on-site parking but plenty of available street parking very close by."
