BE AWARE!
The grounds, the pool and externally the site is lovely! There are 92 apartments at the site... the majority of which are in private ownership... and some of these are REALLY good apartments, up to date, safe and well maintained internally... BUT some are not and some are owned by the Hotel and these are not so good... we were unlucky enough to get probably the worst on the site... 70% of the lightbulbs didn’t work.. the put up bed was broken, the front door split, kitchen cupboards broken, no lock on bathroom window, bath filthy, and I got an electric shock from a plug socket that had its cover missing. When we arrived we found the put up bed had no linen or pillows... so had to walk the 150m to reception at 10 at night to ask for some... they didn’t believe me so walked all the way back with receptionist to check... found I was right, walked all the way back with her and had to carry it all back with me to the apartment myself.... with a lightbulb for me to change myself too! And when I informed them the following morning about the electric shock and missing plug face.. the lack of concern or urgency to investigate was very disappointing... and it was a full 8 hrs before someone came to fix... and put more lightbulbs in. Expedia where I formed straight away about the issues... And for all of this.. Expedia offered £75 as a travel voucher.... seriously not impressed!

Family weekend away
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. the public areas, i.e. reception, pool, bar areas were well maintained. the room, although very spacious was a little 'tired'; nothing that a maintenance review and redecoration couldn't fix.

Good value
Value for money with very helpful staff, pool is great plenty of sun beds, nice little bar, peaceful great views well kept gardens !! On top of a steep hill so you need a car if your not so nimble on your feet but worth the effort once you are there, we only stayed for one night but would definitely stay longer in the future, good thing is your in albufeira with only five minutes by taxi to old town but far enough away to not hear music so a peaceful sleep is easy!! We love this town and love the blue bar , merlins bar, tunes bar, rock cafe ( a must for rock music fans ) vertigo is another live music venue for those of you who enjoy live bands, don't find the food great in town ok if you want English food but your in Portugal so get a taxi and go out of the resort, taxi drivers or the hotel staff will tell you where best to go

Perfect for the price
Beautiful hotel grounds and lovely staff! Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and old town. Supermarket a 5 minute walk away. It is uphill on the way back but unless you're physically challenged I really wouldn't let this put you off! Travelled with 2 friends all in late 20's. Our apartment was huge and the place had everything we wanted. Couldn't ask for better given the price. Definitely recommend!

Nice area and fabulous views from pool area.
We arrived the third week in September. The general pool area was quite and peaceful. The surrounding area is very nice with a lot of private villas. Our apartment was clean but in need of updating. It was mainly the bathroom which had some signs of bad ventilation. Generally the apartment was spacious and clean. The kitchen was fully fitted and contained a washing machine and a dishwasher. We enjoyed our stay and just ignored the worn out decor. There was no air conditioning but we had the use of a fan from reception (20 euro refundable deposit). No hairdryer but you can get one from reception also (refundable deposit). In general we would return again.

Not the greatest
No bath plug, only a hand shower in which to bath with. Wifi was non existant unless we were around the pool. The "sleeper couch" was a dirty couch with a single bed underneath. Sheets were dirty and pillows smelt of smoke. Very basic kitchen utensils, pots and pans. No monitoring of the pool which meant kids kicking balls around the guests despite signage to indicate it was not allowed. As well as guests placing towels down before the pool opens to secure a chair despite not arriving for hours and disappearing for hours at lunch time with the rest of the guests lying on the grass.

Preis-Leistung stimmt
