“Great location; reasonably priced”

you are walking distance to the beach and the town center is about a wonderful 10-15 min leisure walk along the water. Depending on who is working at the counter they can be very helpful or not very much. Language is a non issue, I don't speak Italian and I was able to communicate my needs.

“Comfortable and well-located”

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, we found the staff to be very friendly and the room spacious and well-decorated. It was a good location, right near the beach and only about 10 minutes walk into the old town. We only stayed for three nights before moving on to another part of Sardinia, if you were staying in Alghero for the whole time I would recommend hiring a car as there's some much more to see.

“Enjoyable stay, great location, shames theres no pool!”

I booked this hotel looking for cheap accomodation as most hotels in Alghero seemed pretty pricey. Overall i was very happy with the stay, the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, however beware of the breakfast staff who can make you feel like criminals for trying to take any food out of the breakfast room! The hotel is currently hidden behind a building site (you hear no noise) however is easily missed (hence we ended up walking 10 mins furthur down the road!).

“Top price, top service, top marks!”

Before deciding to write this review, I read through the others and was surprised by some of the comments. Either the hotel has made remarkable changes or other peoples standards are much higher than ours! We stayed for 4 nights and were very impressed. We were greated by very friendly and helpful staff who allowed us to leave our luggage early in the morning and told us that our room would be ready for lunchtime, which was much earlier than the 4pm stated, and very welcome after a 3am start! The receptionist gave us a map of Alghero and showed us where the best beaches, shopping and restaurants were (and she was right!) Our room was large enough for two people, as good as new and very clean. The complimentary tin of Dutch (!) biscuits was also a nice surprise. Our only minor comments about the room would be that we could hear the air conditioning system a little too much. Also, our balcony had a very poor view, but we hadn't paid for a room with a view! As other people have said, breakfast was fantastic - a lot of choice and very well stocked, and very welcoming after a couple of days of trying different menu items at the local restaurants and just wanting something 'normal' to eat! On our departure day the hotel allowed us to leave our luggage with them and also booked us a taxi to the airport - which allowed us to have a very nice day on the beach without any worry.

“Loved it”

The only down side was that the "double" bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. Other than that though, the place was amazing.

“Would stay there again”

Recently stayed at the hotel with a friend for 6 nights. For a 3 star hotel it couldnt be better. Great base for the local beach, literally a stone throw away. Nice walk of about 15 mins to the main old town centre - great for walking off the food and enjoying the sights. Would stay there again. Recommend this hotel for anyone looking for reasonable cost accommodation with simple, but clean rooms.

“Great location near beach!”

The location of this hotel is perfect if you want to spend time at the beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a small on-site parking lot. Our room was much bigger than I expected and very comfortable. The frist day we had a problem getting the a/c to work correctly, but they fixed it and it was better the other days. The breakfast had a wonderful varity. The walk to downtown is about 15 min along the water, it is a nice walk. I will stay here next time I'm in Alghero.

“Sardinia on a budget”

we wanted a short cheapish break and we loved the hotel, the location was good, right by the beach, 10 mins along the prom to the old town, breakfast very good, room clean and comfortable, nice little balcony (too cold to sit out unfortunately but it had a view of the sea). The staff were very very helpful, spoke good English and humoured me my Italian. The hotel has its own hire cars too.

“Great Hotel”

Had a brilliant one night stay at the Alma, the hotel itself is really nice, simple, good breakfast, the room was spacious and comfortable. The service was AMAZING. Thank you to the receptionist (sorry cant remember her name), she was more than pleased to help, and did everything she could to make our night in Alghero a pleasant one. We would stay again. Thanks
