Everything about Villa Annalara was beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. The views are amazing, the breakfasts are amazing, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is just far enough away to avoid the hustle & bustle. Highly recommended, and hope to return someday!

thank you for the wonderful words, we look forward to it
Great location and we would have certainly recommended this hotel except for the room we stayed in. Every room except Bougainville. You will love the views from the terrace and the calm and quiet after the bustling Amalfi town.

Very nice room but it had ants. I complained and the manager said he found only two ants, and did not spray. They were many many more than two aaunts and I was disappointed. Also many steps to get to it and then to my room. Not bad but I would stay elsewhere next time.

is it normal if people eat in the room and when finish leave all the food open inside. sorry but i make the possible
Beautiful property, beautiful view, perfect location. Highly recommend! It rained for 12 hours straight one day of our trip but thankfully this hotel had a canopy over their patio overlook the town of Amalfi and the sea. We were able to sit out on the patio, stay dry, drink some wine, and play some games to wait out the storm.
Great property and easy communication. Just wish more instructions would be provided in advance to help finding the hotel and the off site parking. Beautiful property and very nice comfortable room and bathroom

They bait and switched ya there. Had a reservation for one apparently but came w two people and they demanded 50E cash and unwilling to provide a receipt, even though when reserving 1 or people it’s the same rate.

I'm sorry to read this review because in the end the error is yours and not mine. Therefore on the site there is a rate for one person and a rate for two, three etc ... if you put a person and then think of sleeping in more people it is normal that you have to pay for more people. therefore I think that the 50 euros that you spent for 3 days for an extra person is a gift that I gave you because only breakfast is worth more. maybe he knows where I went wrong? having made you sleep at 2 I didn't have to let the other person in the room because she had a reservation for only 1 person. I'm not a scammer but she a deceiver.
Very nice view on the sea in a quiet area close from the city centre. The villa itself is very nice from the outside, a bit old from the inside. It is very hilly (200 stairs), but the elevator works very well.

The villa it is not very hilly beacuse it is 400 m from the center, then it is open since few years, it's not possible that it's old inside.
We made a reservation for this property 9 months ago and forgot to cancel it when we decided to stay in Ravello instead. We did not receive any reminders about the reservation. At noon on the purported day of arrival, we received our first email from the owner. We immediately explained that we were unaware of the reservation, but if it truly was our fault, we would be happy to pay for the first night. The price on expedia was listed as 109 euros. The owner told us she was billing us 400 euros and that was that. She became increasingly hostile. We actually visited amalfi that day and it was brimming with tourists so she shouldhave easily been able to book that night. Expedia disputed it unsuccessfully. We are now disputing it through our credit card company. We felt abused.
Stayed here a couple years ago and had to revisit! Highly recommend!! Love it every time.

Amalfi holiday
Great little place very welcoming staff
Room was clean bit old but I guess that's part of staying in amalfi very local to shops all in all it was enjoyable thanks
The manager Salvatore was wonderful. He was very helpful with arranging excursions for us and helped with travel connections too! He even upgraded us for two of our nights. The hotel is exactly as pictured in the photos. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful place!!!
If you are looking for some relaxed time with amazing view of Amalfi coast in little bit quiet area(feel like you are special) book here.
recommend everyone !
I would love to comeback Amalfi to stay here!
1. clean, comfortable, and other than that it is so beautiful hotel to stay.
2. staffs are amazing, so kind so friendly!
3. good breakfast and also breakfast with amazing view.
4. specious room
Only 6 rooms, the hotel is family run by two brothers who are super welcoming and make a guest feel pampered. Midway up the hill from the shore, you climb a short set of stairs for a 50 second elevator ride and another staircase. The outdoor terrace gives a view to the sea and the town of Amalfi. My room was large, clean and nicely decorated boasting the largest tv screen I ever had in a European hotel. Bathroom was large with a jetted tub and a generous supply of toiletries. I would definitely recommend a stay at Annalara.
We spent a great five days at Amalfi. Hotel was really good, also location and view were better than we expected. Hotel owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and comprehensive. Breakfast "room" outside was very great. So we don't actually have anything bad to say about this hotel.
Greetings from Finland!
Very friendly helpful staff. Nice quiet location less than 5 minutes to restaurants and the ferries. The towels are crispy and need replacing. This hotel is perched high on a hill and if you're up for it you can take the 220 stairs or opt for the elevator. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Central with a view but overpriced
A decent villa hotel at the absolute end of the Main Street in Amalfi. However I cannot escape the feeling of pricing being too high for what you get . So yes you are in Amalfi but the rooms, service, breakfast and villa itself is nothing to brag about. The only thing that stood out is the terrace with a view. We booked in high season so there was no choices but if you can choose you will find better for cheaper. do check strain wich is walkable from Amalfi in 10 minutes and have a much more genuine Italian vibes without the mass tourism

We are sorry for your review but maybe you are not accustomed to traveling.
Before making a reservation make sure you book and then make the reservation.
Then I think traveling one has to relax and you have not been for 5 days. still sorry sorry
We have just returned from our stay at Villa Annalara. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to return in the future. Our room had a large roof window that overlooked the mountain behind the hotel and we could also see the village of Pontone. We had the use of the roof terrace which had great views looking over the town to the sea beyond. It was great to sit here with a cup of tea after a day of travelling around Amalfi and the surrounding sights. The room was cleaned daily and the bed was comfy. The owners and their staff were friendly and helpful. The lift up to the hotel was a god send after a day of walking.
If you enjoy hiking you will be pleased to know that the hotel is near the start of the path for the spectacular walk "Valle delle Ferriere" (Valley of waterfalls) This walk is so beautiful.
All in all a great experience and we can't wait to go back.
Great hotel , and beautiful balcony with views over the town to the sea. In a quiet street about 5 minute walk to the centre of town . Bedroom spacious and comfortable , , modern and clean . Staff friendly and helpful . Well situated for walking the coast line easy access to public transport.
Manuel and Salvatore were great hosts. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from town center but was very welcoming and private. Few rooms made it feel more exclusive. Hosts were very helpful and tried to make our stay memorable.. which they did. Very nice breakfast. The view from the patio overlooked all Amalfi and the bay. Could not have been more pleased. Would definitely return to Hotel Villa Annalara!!
I stayed with my daughters we fell in love with Amalfi everything about it, the hotel is lovely great room good breakfast, the staff were warm and wecoming very helpful, the room was cleaned every day. Would go back in a heartbeat, still on a high a wonderful holiday.
We had a wonderful stay at Annalara, complemented by the two brothers Salvatore and Manuel. Nothing was too much trouble for them, dinners were amazing, even our first one at 11.00pm. Great room just off the eating patio which has a view down to the sea.
The elevator was very helpful and the hotel had wonderful proximity to the main shopping square. Everyone was very friendly and the experience exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommend!
Small hotel that is family owned and operated. This place is a jewel. A homemade meal is prepared each evening, and the brothers who run the hotel are delightful. Highly recommend!
It is a 300 meter walk uphill on a cobblestone street from the bus/ferry stop. It is a bit of a haul with luggage, otherwise not a big deal. If you arrive via taxi, insist the driver drop you off at the hotel entrance.
We stayed at hotel villa Annalara for 3 night and our stay was great. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the view from the balcony was beautiful.
This hotel was booked through Expedia. A deluxe room with sea view was guaranteed and prepaid. The hotel did not have such a room available and refused to issue a refund even though they didn't have the room available, instead offering a deluxe room with a view of a rockface. Rather than stay we left to find alternative accommodation - which we did, at half the price with a sea view.
This hotel's website gives the impression it is near the sea. It isn't. What sea views it has are from a distance. It is very difficult to find, being a long way up a long narrow back street. We asked several people in Amalfi for directions to it and nobody had heard of it.
Stayed 11 nights at this hotel in April, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Amalfi. The only negative was that the evening meals were generally a bit unimpressive (quality and portion size) esp. when compared to the overall high standard. But this could be because this is a new service they're introducing so, hopefully, they'll bring this up to scratch before too long. PS/ Don't let that put you off, as there are loads of alternative places to eat in the town.
Nice hotel, great location in town. Rooms were nice and clean. Not sure it was worth the extra money for the water view. Window was a large skylight, kind of hard to look out. You will have to climb some stairs to get to your room. Their is an elevator for most of it. If you have a car parking is $20 per day. I would definitely stay again. Staff was nice and it had nice grounds with great outside sitting areas with great veiws overlooking the city.
Hotel check-in is actually from 3pm, not 2pm. But the location was great, and the views from the terrace were wonderful. Rooms were lovely and it was nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. Secure parking up the road was 20 Euro, and the Host was very nice.
The hotel is really beautiful, with a magnificent view of Amalfi and the sea. Breakfast is generous and delicious. Rooms are excellent. The view from the balcony during the breakfast is just amazing.
